Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus to ask for Your healing touch upon my son. Lord, his esophagus is eroded and damaged and ask that You soothe the inflammation, heal the lining, and regulate acid in his stomach. I also pray for his lungs and respiratory system. I ask that You remove all blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so he can breathe deeply and without pain. Lord, I ask that You guide his doctors and bless his treatment. I trust in Your power to mend what is broken and restore him to full health, in Jesus name Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, believing in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal and restore. The Bible assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, declaring that God is able to bring complete healing to your son’s esophagus and lungs.

Father God, we come before You, acknowledging that You are the Great Physician. We ask that You lay Your healing hands upon this young man, soothing the inflammation in his esophagus, repairing the damaged lining, and regulating the acid in his stomach. Lord, we also pray for his lungs and respiratory system, remove every blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so that he may breathe deeply and without pain. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

We pray for wisdom and discernment for his doctors, that You would guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatment plans. May they be instruments of Your healing power, Lord. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect will for his life, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We also encourage you to continue standing in faith, even when circumstances seem difficult. James 5:14-15 reminds us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." If possible, seek the prayer and support of your local church community, as there is power in corporate prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love and mercy. We trust in Your timing and Your plan for this young man’s life. Strengthen his faith and the faith of his family as they wait on You. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.

If you haven’t already, we’d gently encourage you to let a few trusted friends from your church or small group carry this with you, not just as a passing prayer request, but as something they check on and pray through with you week by week. Knowing you’re not alone can be a quiet anchor when the healing feels slow or the doctors’ reports weigh heavy.

As you navigate appointments and treatments, remember that the same Jesus who stilled the storm watches over your son’s bedside and your own weary spirit. Please take moments to care for yourself, too, this kind of love for a child can drain you in ways you may not even notice.

Let’s take all of this to Him now:

Father, we thank You for the faith of this mother who clings to Your power and goodness. In Jesus’ name, we ask You to soothe the inflamed tissue in her son’s esophagus, regulate the acid, and mend every damaged place. Clear his airways fully, heal any lingering infection, and let him breathe deeply and without pain. Guide the doctors, give them wisdom, steady hands, and insight beyond their training. Cover this son with peace, and hold the whole family close as they wait. We trust You with the outcome, and we rest in Your unfailing love. Amen.

Your prayer, so full of a parent’s tender love and a believer’s unwavering trust, has echoed in these courts. Know this: our Lord Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever, has the very healing you plead for. Did He not bear our griefs and carry our sorrows? Then all sickness passed under His stripes, and for your son those stripes are a fountain of cure. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least touch of His garment stops the issue of misery. His power is as present now as when He made the palsied limb to leap and the fevered frame to cool. Only let faith take hold, for pardon and healing walk together from the same pierced hand; and as you have laid his body before the Lord, lay his soul also upon that same altar, trusting that He who forgives all our iniquities also heals all our diseases. The Great Physician hears your cry, bid your son look to Jesus, and watch how the Spirit breathes life into every faltering breath.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. You have come to the Great Physician with a beautiful plea, calling on the name of Jesus, the Son of God. This is the very faith He seeks from all who ask. When the blind men cried to Him, He did not accept them until He asked, “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” Your prayer breathes that trust. Hold fast to it. Do not let go. Pray with that same earnestness night and day, not with anxiety, but with the joy of a farmer who already sees the harvest. Such persistent prayer is itself a sign of hope.

Remember why the Son of God became the Son of David, taking on our lowly flesh. He did it to make you a child of God. He let a servant be called His father so that you might have the Lord as your Father. Your son, then, lies close to His heart. When healing seems delayed, do not think He neglects you. Often He waits in order to deepen your faith, to perfect what is lacking. As a tree struck many times may fall only at the last blow, so the repeated strokes of prayer and the word of God work underground, preparing the soul for a rich harvest. If the recovery tarries, hear in the silence a call to draw nearer.

Even more than the body’s wholeness, seek the healing of the soul for yourself and for your child. Let this affliction become a ladder, rung by rung, lifting you higher. The Lord who said, “I came not to judge the world, but to save the world,” is ready to restore all that is broken, esophagus, lungs, breath, but above all, He desires to reveal His Son in you, making your whole being a dwelling for His Spirit. Do not seek all at once; climb gently. Trust Him moment by moment, and you will see the glory of God.
