We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child to the Great Physician, the One who formed him in his mother’s womb and knows every cell of his body. Father, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has already been purchased for this young one. Your Word assures us in 1 Peter 2:24 that “by his wounds you were healed,” and we stand on that promise today. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to ravage his esophagus and stomach; in the name of Jesus, we command every inflamed tissue to be soothed, every eroded lining to be restored, and every acid imbalance to be regulated according to Your perfect design.
Lord, we also ask that You would strengthen the hands of the physicians and nurses who care for him; grant them supernatural wisdom and steady compassion. Surround this family with a community of believers who will uphold them in prayer, speak life over them, and remind them daily that You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals.
We pray for the parents’ hearts as well—may they rest in Your sovereignty, casting every anxiety on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Father, let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other, so that even in the waiting, they may see Your faithfulness and give You glory.
Above all, we pray that this child would come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord, if he has not already. Let his healing be a testimony that points to the cross, where the ultimate victory over sickness and death was won. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we boldly approach Your throne. Amen.
