Son, healing

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus to ask for Your healing touch upon my son. Lord, his esophagus is eroded and damaged and ask that You soothe the inflammation, heal the lining, and regulate acid in his stomach. I also pray for his lungs and respiratory system. I ask that You remove all blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so he can breathe deeply and without pain. Lord, I ask that You guide his doctors and bless his treatment. I trust in Your power to mend what is broken and restore him to full health, in Jesus name Amen

We join you in lifting your son before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children. Your prayer is a powerful declaration of faith in the healing power of Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). We stand with you in agreement, believing that God’s healing touch is already at work in your son’s body.

Father God, we come before You as a body of believers, united in the name of Jesus, to intercede for this precious young life. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim this promise over this son, Lord. We ask You to soothe the inflammation in his esophagus, repair the damaged lining, and regulate the acid in his stomach. Let Your healing hand move in a way that surpasses human understanding, bringing restoration where there is erosion and peace where there is pain.

We also lift up his lungs and respiratory system to You, Lord. Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We ask You to remove every blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely. Breathe Your life-giving Spirit into his lungs, Lord, so that he may inhale Your peace and exhale every trace of discomfort. Let him experience the fullness of Your healing, so that he may breathe deeply and without pain, as You intended.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for his doctors. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Guide their hands, Lord, and bless the treatments they prescribe. Let every decision they make be led by Your divine wisdom, so that Your healing power may flow through their care.

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness that seeks to linger in this young man’s body. In the name of Jesus, we command every trace of inflammation, infection, and blockage to leave now. We declare that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we plead the blood of Jesus over every cell, tissue, and organ that needs restoration. Let Your healing virtue flow like a river, washing away every trace of sickness and pain.

We also encourage you, dear parent, to continue standing on God’s promises. Hold fast to His Word, for it is life and health to all who find it (Proverbs 4:20-22). Do not grow weary in prayer, for the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16). Your faith is a powerful weapon, and we believe that God is moving even now to bring about a testimony of His goodness in your son’s life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne on behalf of this beloved son. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24). We speak life over his esophagus, his stomach, his lungs, and every part of his body that needs Your touch. We ask You to accelerate the healing process, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed in his restoration. Strengthen his immune system, Father, and let every system in his body function as You designed it to. We trust You, Lord, for You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17).

We also pray for peace and comfort for this family as they walk through this trial. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Fill their hearts with hope, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

We ache with you as you carry this heavy load for your son. The toll of watching someone you love battle chronic illness, the endless doctor visits, the uneasy nights, the sheer longing to see him breathe freely and eat without pain, is a weight few words can hold. Thank you for letting us stand with you in prayer.

When illness drags on, it’s easy to feel isolated, as if you’re the only ones fighting this fight. But you’re not alone. We’ve seen how a family’s whole rhythm gets disrupted, and caregivers often run on empty. Right now, one of the most loving things you can do for your son is to let your church family rally around you both. Give them the gift of a specific ask: a meal dropped off, someone to sit with him so you can rest, a deacon to come pray and simply be present. You don’t have to manage every detail alone. Your openness invites the body of Christ to bear this burden with you, and it reminds your son he’s surrounded by a community that won’t let go.

Keep talking honestly with his doctors, write down your questions, and ask them to explain anything that feels unclear. That partnership honors the wisdom God has given them, and it helps you make steady decisions rather than scrambling in the dark.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son before You now. Ease the inflammation in his esophagus, repair what is eroded, and let his lungs open freely so every breath comes without pain. Give his medical team clear eyes and steady hands. Hold this parent close, renew their strength, guard their hope, and let them sense Your nearness even in the waiting. We trust You to mend what is broken, in Your way and Your time. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What a mercy it is that you bring your son before the throne of grace, laying hold of the very name of Jesus as your plea. You do well to trust in His power to mend what is broken, for His touch has lost none of its ancient virtue. He who once walked among the sick and the palsied walks still by His Spirit among those who cry to Him.

Think of the leaves of the tree of life, given for the healing of the nations. If the very leaves of that tree distill such balm, what must the fruit be? And who is that tree but Christ Jesus our Lord? In Him there is an abundance of healing power, not only for the soul, but for the body also. The least thing about Christ is healing, for He bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. The same hand that calmed the raging fever of Peter’s wife’s mother can soothe the inflamed lining of your son’s esophagus. The same voice that commanded the deaf to hear and the lame to walk can unblock the passages of his lungs and open every airway. He is the great conduit Head from whom all healing streams flow down to men below.

Yet never forget the sweet link that Scripture makes between pardon and healing. Did not our Lord say to the sick of the palsy, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee,” before He said, “Arise, take up thy bed and go unto thine house”? The sun of righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and those wings first overshadow the guilt of sin. I charge you, then, seek not only the repairing of the outward man, but lay hold of the covenant promise that He forgets the sins of His people for His own name’s sake. When the Father looks upon His dear Son, bearing our griefs and carrying our sorrows, the impression upon His great soul is such that He remembers our transgressions no more. Present your son before the Lord as one for whom Christ died, and plead the merits of that sacrifice which is the one great cure-all for every malady of body and spirit.

Do not grow impatient if the answer tarries. He who is the great Physician prescribes the time and the measure of the cure. Some diseases He removes at a word; others He permits to remain that we may learn to lean harder upon Him. Yet be assured that healing must come before service, and every work of restoration in the body is a foretaste of that day when we shall be without spot or wrinkle, partakers of the resurrection health. The power of the Gospel is a healing power, conspicuously present when Christ is lifted up. Keep your son beneath the sound of His Word, for faith comes by hearing. The very teaching of Christ commingles with the medicine of His grace.

Look to the hands that were pierced, and trust them to lift up your dear child as they lifted Peter’s kinswoman from her fevered bed. The Lord guide the physicians and bless every means they use, but let your chief confidence be in Him who needs no instruments save His own sovereign will. Welcome healing and pardon together through our Lord Jesus, and may you yet see your son rise up to breathe deeply and minister joyfully in the freshness of a new life. God bless you and grant this petition for the glory of His Son. Amen.

You bring this prayer for your son’s body, and rightly so, for the Lord is the physician of souls and bodies. But do not forget that even if a man should possess all faith and knowledge, and the gift of healing itself, yet if love be absent, it profits nothing. The healing of the esophagus and lungs is a small thing compared to the healing of the heart from sin. Pray then for his body, but with far greater zeal pray that he may breathe deeply the love of God, for love is the matchless beauty that adorns every gift.

You have heard the word of the Gospel, that God speaks to you as to a son. Receive this as if you were hearing not men, but God Himself exhorting you. For if the Thessalonians endured perils because they received the word as divine, then you too, in this trial, must endure with trust, not wavering. The man blind from birth did not rely on the hearsay of his forefathers but believed because he saw the works of Christ. You have not yet seen the healing, but you have the testimony of miracles and the promise of Him who said, “Ask and you shall receive.” Do not let your faith rest on what you see, but on the word of God who confirmeth His power. What you heard in the Scriptures, hold as certain as if you saw it with your eyes.

Yet I must also warn you, as a physician speaks plainly to a sick man. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, and many who seem insensible to repeated calls later bear fruit all at once. Perhaps your son’s sickness has come that he might be roused from carelessness. Let him examine his soul. The Pharisee spoke truth, “I am not as this publican,” and yet he was condemned because he said it with pride. Take care that no hidden boasting or idle talk corrupts your petition. If we have sinned, let us confess with the humility of the publican, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the lowly.

Do not despair if the healing delays. As a tree that receives many blows falls at last by a single stroke, so the many prayers and tears you pour out are not lost. Even at the gates of hell, recovery is possible. The Lord waiteth to be gracious. Persist, therefore, in prayer and the hearing of the word. When you listen, do so as if God were speaking; when you pray, do so with love, for without love, even martyrdom and faith that moves mountains are nothing.

Commend your son to the Lord, but with greater urgency commend his soul. Healings of the body are temporary; the soul lives forever. Let your request be for his complete restoration, that he may breathe not only air without pain, but the Holy Spirit without hindrance. Guide him to the true Physician, Jesus Christ, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. In His name alone is the power to mend what is broken and to restore health to both body and spirit. Trust in this, and let your chief care be that neither you nor your son fall under the fearful judgment that awaits the impenitent. May you both, having heard these things, bring forth the fruit of love, and so obtain the everlasting blessings.
