So hot

Beloved of All
Please cool us down Jesus so much to get done and this person totally scalped the trees now have no shade and no fruit. Please heal and help get this all done soon and bless this special weekend Lord keep us safe in your care. Amen

We hear your distress and frustration, and we come before the Lord with you in this time of need. It’s clear that the loss of shade and fruit-bearing trees has added to the weight of your responsibilities, and we understand how overwhelming that can feel. We lift this burden to God, asking Him to provide strength, wisdom, and provision as you work to restore what has been lost.

First, we want to acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ, for you called upon His name in your prayer. This is so important, for Scripture tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful that you have turned to Him in this moment.

Father God, we come before You now, asking for Your mercy and grace in this situation. We pray for healing for the land, restore what has been damaged, Lord. You are the God who makes all things new, and we trust in Your power to bring life where there has been loss. We ask that You would cool the heat, both physically and in the stress of the work that lies ahead. Give wisdom to know how to move forward, and provide the resources and help needed to complete the tasks at hand. We declare that this weekend will be blessed, and we ask for Your protection over every moment, every step, and every decision.

We also want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. In times of frustration and weariness, He promises to be our strength. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Lean on Him, for He is faithful to sustain you. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of overwhelm and frustration that seeks to steal peace and productivity. We declare that the work ahead will be accomplished in Your timing and by Your strength. We pray for favor in the tasks that remain, and we ask that You would turn this setback into a testimony of Your provision and faithfulness. May this weekend be a time of refreshment, safety, and blessing as You walk closely with us. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We feel the weight of that moment when just stepping outside feels oppressive, and seeing the trees scalped on top of everything else only adds to the frustration. It is hard to face a loaded list of tasks when your surroundings themselves seem to be working against you, especially when a simple pleasure like shade and fruit has been taken away. That sense of loss, combined with the pressing heat, can make everything feel more urgent and exhausting than it already is. We are sitting with you in that tension, asking for relief and the steady grace to move forward.

While we pray, it can help to be practical about the heat itself. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and pacing yourself in the hardest parts of the day. Give yourself permission to rest in whatever cool spot you can find, even if just for a few minutes, so the work does not overwhelm your body. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is simply care for our own physical limits in the middle of the pressure.

Jesus, we lift up this weary friend to you. You see the long list and the scorching sun, and you know the sting of losing those trees. Please send a break in the heat and a breeze of refreshment. Heal what has been damaged, and in your kindness, bring forth new growth and fruit in time. Steady their heart and their hands this weekend. Grant steady progress on what truly needs to be done, and wrap this special weekend in your protecting care. We trust you for these mercies, in your name. Amen.

The heat you feel and the toil before you are known to your Father in heaven, and He does not waste the fierce sun nor the labor of your hands. That scalping of the trees has left you without shade and without visible fruit, yet it may be that the Lord is driving you to find your shade beneath His wings and to learn that the fruit of His Spirit in you is not dependent upon any outward bough. The unbelief of man, so long as it remains, renders blessing impossible, but you have cried to Jesus, therefore lift up your heart and expect grace.

Plunge yourself into the Godhead's deepest sea and be lost in His immensity! The very leaves of Christ’s tree are for healing, and the least things that come from Him have restoring virtue. Where shade has been stripped away, His overshadowing presence can cool the fever of the spirit. Where fruit seems gone, remember that the Lord creates the fruit of the lips, prayer, praise, and testimony, which no axe can touch and no thief can steal. You have not because you ask not, but you have asked. Now, in the very heat, sit and keep on blessing God from the first thought of the morning to the last.

This trial, rightly borne, will ripen you. Fruit is ripened by the sun; all heat and no moisture would leave no fruit at all, so He sends the dew of His Spirit alongside the scorching day. Tenderness is the mark of maturity, the hard green berry is useless, but the soft, ripe fruit yields to the lightest pressure. Let this scalping make your heart soft toward the very one who harmed the trees; that would be rare fruit indeed, and a marvel of His grace. The Lord fills a man that he may overflow with blessing for those around him, and perhaps you are set in this discomfort to be a blessing to some you could not otherwise reach.

Do not despise the seeming loss of fruit from those trees. The Lord bids us look for a blessing wherever we may be and whatever we do. Is it not that you may be a blessing in the midst of much to get done, a sweet savor of Christ as you labor? The double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father, and no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance. He has blessed you just where you needed blessing, and your cry for help has already ascended to His heart. Go forward, then, into this special weekend kept safe in His care, not fretting over the bare branches, but bearing the fruit of lips that whisper, Peace, peace, to your own soul and to all around you. Surely, blessing He will bless you, and you shall be a blessing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The heat that beats upon you and the grief of seeing those trees stripped bare touch both your body and your spirit. Yet consider the seed that fell on rocky ground: it sprang up quickly, but when the sun rose it was scorched, because it had no deepness of earth. If your soul lacks deep root in Christ, every trial will feel like a withering sun. Do not let this outward discomfort become an inward scorching of resentment. The fruit you see spoiled is the fruit of the ground, which passes away. Far more dreadful is the loss of the fruit of righteousness, peace, and patience, fruit that no neighbor’s blade can steal.

You cry for cooling, and rightly so. But beware of coveting the shade you miss; covetousness makes us all foes and chases away peaceful sleep. If you cling instead to what is just, you will keep your heart a friend to God and your rest untroubled. The one who scalped the trees: do not let anger at him become thorns choking the word sown in you. To linger on the wrong done is to spend time with the fruitless pastimes of the devil, and you will share the blame for the bitterness it breeds.

Christ comes to you in this need. When He begs through the hungry, the thirsty, and the weary, He says, “Inasmuch as you did it to the least of these, you did it to Me.” Will you then not offer Him patience and forgiveness? That is the true refreshment. The special weekend you long for to be blessed: let it be kept not in unprofitable distraction but in holy fear, as olive plants around the table of the Lord. There is the shade that cannot be cut down, and there the fruit that endures to everlasting life.

Pray for the tasks to be accomplished, yes, but pray harder that your heart not be hardened by this provocation. The Holy Spirit warns, “Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the rebellion.” If you nurse complaint, you will not enter His rest. Instead, let the scorching heat drive you beneath the shadow of the Most High, where there is safety and healing. God is faithful, though men fail. Seek first to bear fruit a hundredfold for the kingdom, and these lighter trials will find their right place. May He who pricks the heart pierce yours with holy compunction, that you may bring forth the spirit of salvation and come near with boldness.

The loss of shade and fruit at a moment like this cuts deep. A bare, scalped tree where there was once green relief and provision feels like a small catastrophe when the heat is already pressing in and your list of things to do feels endless. That ache you feel over the missing fruit is actually a profound picture of what truly matters. Our Lord is a vinedresser, and His entire purpose for the branches of His vine is that they bear fruit. A fig tree bursting with leaves but offering no fruit was a tragic sight to Him, and He desires something real that feeds others and lasts.

It is tempting to think a blessing must come on our own immediate terms, like a man who only cared about a savory meal for his stomach, missing the weighty, lasting purposes of God. Your hurried cry for relief is understandable, but let this stripped landscape point you toward a deeper hunger. The Father wants to come and enjoy the fruit of His Spirit in your life, the singular, rich fruit of love, joy, and peace that grows in a heart abiding in Jesus. He is not nearly as concerned with your list getting done efficiently as He is with the kind of fruit you are producing in the middle of the stress.

Think of this moment not as a curse, but as a severe and loving pruning. The vinedresser purges every branch that already bears fruit so that it may bring forth more. Right now, Jesus is not standing far off; He is the shade at your right hand, and He is using even this to clear away what would choke out a quieter, lasting fruitfulness in you. Do not settle for the old, shallow cravings. Abide in the vine, let His Word wash over your frustration, and you will find that the fruit He produces in a pruned branch, even thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold, is sweeter than anything a shady tree could ever provide. His goodness is what leads you into real rest.
