Can’t sleep and have appointment very soon. Prayers to be able to get some rest didn’t sleep yesterday either, praying I’ll make it on time for this important appointment and no ### Jesus protect us all in continue fighting for our Civil Rights as well. Amen

We hear your exhaustion and cry out to the Lord on your behalf, lifting you up in prayer. The weariness of sleepless nights can weigh heavily on both body and spirit, and we join you in asking God for the rest and strength you need. The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." We claim this promise for you now, trusting that the Lord sees your need and will provide rest according to His perfect timing.

We also pray for your upcoming appointment, that you would have clarity of mind, peace in your heart, and the physical strength to arrive on time. May the Lord go before you, making your paths straight and ordering your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We stand on this truth, believing that God will guide you and sustain you through this time.

We must gently address the mention of fighting for civil rights in your prayer. While we understand the desire to seek justice and fairness in this world, we want to remind you that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and our primary battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Our fight is first and foremost for the Kingdom of God, and we must ensure that our efforts align with His will and His Word. We encourage you to seek God’s guidance in how to engage in these matters, always keeping your focus on Him and His truth.

We also want to take a moment to emphasize the power and necessity of praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Acts 4:12 also states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to always lift your prayers to God in the name of Jesus, for it is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have the privilege of coming boldly before the throne of grace.

Now, let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary and in need of rest. Lord, You see their exhaustion, and You know the weight they carry. We ask that You would grant them the sleep they need, refreshing their body, mind, and spirit. Father, we trust in Your promise that You give sleep to Your loved ones, and we claim that promise for them now. Provide the strength they need to make it to their appointment on time, and go before them, making their paths straight.

Lord, we also pray for peace and clarity as they navigate this day. Calm any anxiety or fear, and fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding but acknowledging You in all their ways.

Father, we ask that You would guide them in their pursuit of justice and righteousness. Help them to see the world through Your eyes and to engage in battles that align with Your will. May they always remember that their ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and their primary fight is for Your Kingdom.

We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of coming before You in the name of Jesus. It is through Him that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are saved. We pray all these things in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and to seek Him in all things. Remember that He is your strength in weakness, your peace in turmoil, and your rest in exhaustion. Lean on Him, and He will sustain you. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will carry you through.

We hear just how spent you are right now, running on fumes after two sleepless nights, an important appointment pressing on you, and a deep longing for God’s protection over the causes close to your heart. That kind of weariness isn’t just physical; it can make every thought feel louder and every worry heavier. You’re not alone in this moment.

A small, steady step: if rest won’t come before you go, try to sit quietly for even ten minutes with your eyes closed. Sometimes our bodies soak up a little calm that way, even when sleep stays out of reach. After your appointment, give yourself permission to stop and be still, nothing heroic, just a real pause. And if sleeplessness keeps pulling you under, we’d gently encourage you to mention it to a doctor. Exhaustion that rolls from one night to the next can have a way of tightening its grip, and you don’t have to wrestle it alone.

We know you were already prayed for from Scripture; now we simply want to sit with you in this tired place and lift you up.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You don’t need us to be strong, You meet us right where we’re frayed and running on empty. Please quiet this worn body and racing mind. Give the kind of deep rest that only You can give, whether in a few minutes of stillness or later today. Keep this appointment safely within reach, and grant clarity and favor as they walk through it. We also place their fight for civil rights into Your hands, protect them and all who stand with them, and guide their steps with wisdom and courage. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The promise stands sure: “I will give you rest.” Not rest after death alone, but rest now, a present rest for the weary soul that comes to Jesus. You have lost sleep, and the body is heavy, but there is a deeper repose for the heart. Trust Him for this very hour. He knows your frame, and He appoints the times of our rising and our lying down. Cast yourself upon Him, and though you may not slumber, you shall yet find rest on the wing, a quietness of spirit even in motion. He who gave Himself for you will not fail to keep you in this small thing. Be not anxious about the appointment; the Lord’s appointments are never missed. He holds the clock, and He has set your steps in His wisdom. Rest in His person, and you shall find rest unto your soul.

As for the battle for civil rights, I say to you: strive lawfully, but never let the strife eat out your inward peace. True rest is not idleness, but labor with the yoke of Christ upon you. Take His yoke and learn of Him, and you shall find rest even in the fight. He is the God of justice, and He bids us do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly. Fight your battles on your knees, and let no bitterness or fear unseat your confidence in His sovereign care. He will defend the oppressed and bring every high thing low in His own time. Only abide in Him, and your soul shall be in perfect peace, though the earth be removed. Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for Him. This is your rest even now, return to it, O weary soul, and glorify Him by resting.

The exhaustion you feel is a summons to seek the rest that does not fade. The care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, all the anxieties that press upon you, even the struggle for rights, can choke the soul and breed despondency. You pray for sleep and to keep an appointment, but remember: there remains a rest for the people of God. We who have believed are entering that rest, not a rest of bodily ease only, but a share in the heavenly country. Do not harden your heart by seeking your full rest here, lest you fall after the same example of unbelief.

Consider the disciples: they slept when they should have watched, yet Christ did not crush them; He knows our weakness. Still, He bids us labor to enter that rest, turning from the drowsiness of worldly cares to the alertness of faith. Even now, God may permit sleeplessness so that you cling to Him alone, not to the false security of a smooth day.

As for your appointment and your fight for civil rights, be comforted: the God of love and peace will be with you. Rejoice, be perfected, be of the same mind, and live in peace, for the hope laid up in heaven cannot be shaken. Pray not merely for the rest of a few hours, but for the soul’s deep rest in Christ, who protects His own. May His peace keep your heart, and may you meet this day’s tasks with a quiet trust, knowing that all things serve the great rest to come.

You are carrying a heavy load right now, and sleeplessness has a way of magnifying every worry. The Lord knows your body and your schedule. Ask him for the rest you need, but also trust that if sleep does not come, his strength can carry you through the appointment. Jesus said that apart from him we can do nothing, and Paul learned that he could do all things through Christ who strengthened him. Even a tired mind and body can be held steady when you lean on him.

Lay the appointment before the Lord and commit the timing to him. You do not have to control every outcome. You can say, Lord, you are in control; my life belongs to you; work out your plan. That surrender is not weakness. It is where peace comes from. Your spiritual health and your standing with God matter more than anything else, and that is already settled in Christ when you trust him.

As for the desire for civil rights and protection, and for the things you did not spell out, God is not indifferent to justice or to the person who has been wronged. Scripture shows he is no respecter of persons, and the poor and vulnerable are important to him. Stand for what is right, but commit the results to him and guard your heart from bitterness. The most important thing is not what you win or lose in this world, but that your name is written in heaven. Keep that anchor, and let the Lord fight the battles you cannot control.
