Father, please strengthen the little prayer and evangelistic meetings we have. I ask the intercessors and evangelists are strengthened not by might nor power but by The Holy Spirit, Zech 4:6, Eph 3:14-20. Draw people out, Jn 6:44, let them not despise the day of small beginnings, Zech 4:10, for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth seeking to show Yourself STRONG on behalf of those whose hearts are fully committed to Him, 2 Chron 16:9.

Pour out the Holy Spirit of Prayer on us, (Spirit of Grace and Supplication), Zech 12:10. Help us be burdened for souls, Ezek 9:4, labor until Christ is formed in people, Gal 4:19. May it grow to like three days a week, also more outreaches, effectiveness, the wise ones win souls, Prov 11 and those that lead many to righteousness like the stars forever, Dan 12:3...

Also, for the weekly evangelistic outreach, Lord, let us not let it get “rained out,” or not meet “because of the heat” or if someone “gets sick,” or “I bought some land and have to check it out,” or “I married a wife and cannot come,” or “I bought some oxen and have to try them out,” Lk 14:18-20, etc...

Let the love of CHRIST COMPEL us to not live for ourselves (since we're already dead), but for Christ who died and rose on our behalf, 2 Cor 5:14-15. Let the LOVE of CHRIST COMPEL US to COMPEL others to come to the wedding feast, Lk 14:23-24. Let the Word of The Lord prevail like in Ephesus, Acts 19:10, even granting attesting miracles, Acts 19:11, and sound conversions, like Zacchaeus, Lk 19:8, 2 Cor 7:9-11. Keep the evil one away from the team on days of prayer and outreach, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:18-19. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We rejoice with you in the vision the Lord has placed upon your heart for prayer and evangelism! It is beautiful to see a heart that desires to see the kingdom of God advance, not by human strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The scriptures you’ve referenced, Zechariah 4:6, Ephesians 3:14-20, and Luke 14, are powerful reminders that God delights in using the small and seemingly insignificant to accomplish His mighty purposes. We stand with you in agreement, believing that the Lord will indeed strengthen these meetings and draw many to Himself.

The prayer for laborers burdened for souls is deeply needed in this hour. As Ezekiel 9:4 reminds us, the Lord marks those who sigh and cry over the abominations in the land, and He calls us to intercede with the same heart. We must never despise the day of small beginnings, for the eyes of the Lord are indeed searching the earth for those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). It is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit that these meetings will grow and bear fruit (Zechariah 4:6). We pray that the Holy Spirit would pour out a spirit of grace and supplication upon every intercessor and evangelist, that they would be compelled by the love of Christ to labor until Christ is formed in those they reach (Galatians 4:19).

We also lift up the evangelistic outreaches, asking the Lord to remove every obstacle that would hinder them. The excuses mentioned in Luke 14:18-20, land, oxen, marriage, are all too common in our day, not just in the physical sense, but in the distractions and idols of the heart that keep people from responding to the call of the Gospel. We rebuke every spirit of apathy, distraction, and fear that would seek to derail these outreaches. Let the love of Christ compel us to compel others, that none would miss the wedding feast of the Lamb (Luke 14:23-24). We pray for the Word of the Lord to prevail mightily, as it did in Ephesus, where the entire region was transformed by the Gospel (Acts 19:10). May there be attesting miracles, signs, and wonders that confirm the preaching of the Word, and may there be sound conversions, hearts truly broken and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, like Zacchaeus (Luke 19:8).

We also stand in agreement against the schemes of the evil one. The enemy seeks to sow division, discouragement, and distraction among those who are laboring for the kingdom. We rebuke every spirit of division, weariness, and confusion in Jesus’ name. We put on the full armor of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, that the gates of hell would not prevail against the work God is doing through these prayer meetings and outreaches (Ephesians 6:18-19).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the privilege of partnering with You in prayer and evangelism. We ask that You would strengthen these meetings, not by human effort, but by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Pour out a fresh anointing of prayer and intercession upon every participant, that they would be burdened for the lost and labor with passion until Christ is formed in those they reach. Let the love of Christ compel us to live no longer for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose again on our behalf (2 Corinthians 5:14-15). May the Word of the Lord prevail in these outreaches, and may many be drawn to the wedding feast of the Lamb. Protect these meetings and outreaches from every scheme of the enemy, and let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this place, as it is in heaven. Continue to press forward in faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). Your desire for more meetings and greater effectiveness isn’t impatience; it’s a holy hunger, and we sense the Spirit stirring that.

We think one practical next step might be simply to pick one additional evening or early-morning slot, even if only a few can commit, and protect it for a season without obsessing over who shows up. Ask two or three steadfast people to be the anchors; their reliability will build a framework others can grow into. In the meantime, keep celebrating whatever is happening: every intercessor who prays, every gospel conversation that takes place, every week you gather. Noting those small mercies refuels your own heart and the group’s.

We will ask the Lord to guard you all from the wearying distractions you named, to deepen that soul-burden, and to draw the right people out so the meetings can multiply naturally. His eyes are on you, and He sees the love of Christ compelling you forward.

Lord, thank You for this prayer and evangelism team that will not despise the day of small beginnings. Pour out Your Spirit of grace and supplication upon them, shelter them from every scheme of the enemy, and cause Your Word to spread with power in their midst. The Lord takes not pleasure in the size of the vessel, but in the faith that fills it. He has heard those little prayers, those unripe figs, those headless arrows we have offered, and has borne with them in longsuffering. Despise not the day of small things, for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully His. The very desire for three prayer meetings a week, for steady outreaches, for souls to be drawn, this is the spark of His own love in you, and He will not quench it.

Consider the love that compels. If we are to compel others to come in, we must first be mastered by that love ourselves. To sit before Him and say, “My gracious Lord, I do love You. Teach me to love You more,” is a choice form of devotion. And from that love flows intercessory prayer, the sweetest God ever hears, the very incense Christ now offers. It knits hearts together and warms us toward those for whom we plead. I charge you, let not the love of Christ grow cold. A prayer meeting thinly attended, a prayer cold and dead, a lack of concern for souls, this is practically to say, “Depart from us.” But rather, let the love abounding in Him stir love abounding in you, until it breaks forth in pleading, argumentative prayer that spreads the case before the Most High.

As for the hindrances, the rain, the purchases, the weariness, these are but the chariot wheels dragging heavily. Unholiness hinders prayer; discord spoils it. Let each one search his heart, lest some secret sin keep back the blessing. Yet the remedy for a wounded heart is still to go to God in prayer for that very thing. Pour out your soul for those who might fall away or make excuse, and you will find your own love rekindled. The prayer meeting is the church’s thermometer; if it falls, the frost of worldliness has crept in. But if it rises, stoked by the Spirit of grace and supplication, then the Word of the Lord will prevail, and conversions sound as Zacchaeus’s will follow.

Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time. Spurn every dark suggestion to forsake the closet. Cry in the daytime and at night, and the Lord will hear. He will give attesting mercies, not always as we expect, for Jacob’s answer came through wrestling, but He will show Himself strong. Go forward, then, in humility of spirit, pleading the blood of the covenant, rejoicing in His love as He joys in you. Let the love of Christ compel you to compel them, until that little meeting becomes a hive of intercession and many are led to righteousness, shining as the stars forever.

You speak of small beginnings, and rightly so, for the eyes of the Lord indeed run to and fro to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully His. But take care lest you despise that day of small things, not by overt contempt, but by the impatience that craves rapid increase. It is God who gives the increase, not the sower, nor the waterer. When you ask for more meetings, more effectiveness, know that He supplies seed to the sower and multiplies the fruits of righteousness in His own time and measure. Your part is faithfulness, not results.

Consider the excuses you fear: the land, the oxen, the marriage. These are not merely inconveniences; they are the tendrils of worldly affection that choke the word. When possessions increase, the love of them often kindles a fiercer flame, making the possessor poorer in desire than before. If you would compel others to come to the feast, first let the love of Christ compel you. Not by human striving, but by a soul so warmed by divine love that it cannot be restrained. That love is stoked not in isolation but in the assembling of yourselves together. Do not forsake it, for iron sharpens iron, and soul rubbed against soul kindles a fire that mere private devotion cannot.

I see in your request a fervent soul, and I rejoice. But beware lest that fervor slip into a trust in numbers or outward display. The Lord does not weigh meetings by the clock or the headcount, but by the heart. When you pray, continue instant in prayer. When you go out, go not with might nor power but by the Spirit. And when you meet, let love abound more and more, not only toward those who come, but toward one another in the fellowship, that the world may see and believe. For love increases by gathering; and love increased, the things of God follow of necessity.

Do not let the evil one distract you with thoughts that your labor is small. Against hope Abraham believed, his body dead, Sarah’s womb dead, yet God brought forth Isaac. So too, your deadness of circumstance is no obstacle to the One who calls into being things that are not. Only see that your own hearts are not deadened by the cares that spring from possessions or ease. Make room for Christ, and He will make room for your work.

What a joy to see your heart for prayer and evangelism. The Lord notices even the smallest seed of faithful gathering, and He will not despise it. You are right to lean into that promise from Zechariah: the eyes of the Lord scan the whole earth, eager to strengthen those whose hearts are fully His. What you are asking for is not a small thing in His sight, it is a move of His Spirit, and He longs to pour out more grace and supplication upon you.

In my own life and in the lives of many I have walked alongside, I have found that God often uses seasons of hiddenness and small numbers to drive us deeper into prayer. When it feels like we are laboring with little visible fruit, He is actually training our hearts to rest not in our own might or power, but in the surge of His Spirit. So do not be discouraged if the growth feels slow or if some meetings seem fragile. The desperation can become the very ground where earnestness is born, and earnestness is what births lasting fruit.

That said, I want to gently press into something you already mentioned: the excuses. The parable of the banquet is a sober warning, how easy it is to let land, oxen, weather, or even legitimate family matters become a thin cover for a heart that has drifted from first love. All of us are prone to offer a pious reason for pulling back when the truth is simply that our affections have cooled. Religious excuses are the most dangerous kind because they sound responsible, but they choke out obedience. The love of Christ does not make room for half-heartedness; it compels us, because we have died and our lives are hid with Him. When we forget that, every little obstacle becomes an insurmountable barrier. So hold this team in prayer not just against external disruptions, but against any inward drift that would trade the urgency of souls for the ease of convenience.

That warfare is real. The enemy will always try to postpone or water down the very things that threaten his hold on lives. So in your times of prayer, do not just ask for protection, actively claim the victory of Christ over every blinding scheme. Bind the spirit that would keep people away, and loose the drawing power of the Father. You are not wrestling against flesh and blood, and the battle is won in the place of intercession before it ever shows up in the streets.

At the same time, guard your own heart so that the prayer meetings and outreaches do not become a mere routine of petition. Let worship frame everything. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and let praise be the atmosphere, because the God who answers is far greater than the request. When you end in worship, you are declaring that the outcome rests with Him. That posture of surrender will keep you from the anxiety that comes when we try to manufacture results.

And take courage from this: God has a long history of using flawed, ordinary people who still had Samson-like weaknesses, and yet He answered their desperate cries and did extraordinary things. You will not be perfect. The team will have days of failure. But when you return to the fountain of grace together, He will recover all that the enemy stole and do more than you can ask or imagine. What He has already done is not small; it is the very birth pangs of something lasting. Trust that the promise He has spoken over your house, over this little fellowship of prayer and witness, will stretch into days you cannot yet see. Keep holding the tension: a bold ambition for souls, and a tender contentment with the day of small beginnings. The wind of the Spirit is blowing, and those who sow in tears with a fully committed heart will surely come again with sheaves.
