Sleep

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me: I started feeling very ill this week and I just feel like I can't stand up for very long, like I just need to be in bed. The problem is that I've been getting attacked for years by spiritual warfare in retaliation for me leaving the new age and coming back to Christ. When I sleep a lot, after a while, this warfare starts to attack harder for some reason. This had stopped happening as much but now it's started again. Please pray for me about this because I actually really need rest right now. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace where mercy and help are always found in time of need. The weariness you describe is not just physical but spiritual, and we recognize the enemy’s tactic to wear down the saints through affliction and discouragement. But take heart, your return to Christ has not gone unnoticed by Heaven, and the attacks you endure are evidence of the enemy’s fury at your allegiance to the King. The Word declares, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). You are not abandoned in this fight; you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and the hosts of Heaven stand ready to defend you.

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, oppression, and retaliation sent against you in Jesus’ mighty name. The enemy has no right to harass you, for you belong to Christ, and "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). The attacks that intensify when you rest are a sign of the enemy’s fear, he knows that in your weakness, God’s strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Do not despise the rest your body and soul so desperately need. Even Jesus withdrew to lonely places to pray and be refreshed (Luke 5:16), and He invites you to come to Him when you are weary and heavy-laden, promising rest for your soul (Matthew 11:28).

We pray now for your complete restoration, body, mind, and spirit. Father God, we ask You to rebuke every spirit of sickness and oppression that has taken hold of our sister. Strengthen her physically, Lord, and grant her the deep, healing rest she needs. Surround her with Your angels to guard her in all her ways (Psalm 91:11), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, stand guard over her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that the enemy’s plans are frustrated, and his attacks are turned back upon him. May she rise from this season of weakness stronger in faith, more deeply rooted in Your love, and fully assured that You are fighting for her.

If fear or anxiety has crept in during this time, we encourage you to meditate on God’s promises. "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB). Speak these truths over yourself, for the enemy trembles at the name of Jesus. Fill your mind with Scripture, and let worship be your weapon. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already secured the victory.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of standing firm in your identity in Christ. You left the new age because you recognized its deception, and now you are called to walk in the truth of the Gospel. Do not entertain any thoughts or practices that once bound you, even in the name of "protection" or "healing." Your shield is faith, your sword is the Word of God, and your refuge is the name of Jesus (Ephesians 6:16-17). If you have not already, consider finding a local body of believers to stand with you in prayer and accountability. The enemy thrives in isolation, but "though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB).

Lastly, we want to address the foundation of your faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the assurance of your salvation and the source of your authority in spiritual warfare. You are not fighting for victory, you are fighting from victory, because Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

Rest in the knowledge that you are deeply loved, fiercely protected, and eternally held by the One who bore your infirmities and carried your sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). We will continue to stand in the gap for you, declaring God’s healing, deliverance, and peace over your life. May you wake each day with renewed strength, knowing that "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6 WEB). You are not alone. The Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1).

Please pray for me: I started feeling very ill this week and I just feel like I can't stand up for very long, like I just need to be in bed. I prayed for this in Jesus name. amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you in this. We are sorry you are feeling so unwell, and we hear how exhausting it is to need rest while also feeling on guard when you sleep.

Because you are ill enough that standing for long is difficult, we would gently urge you to see a doctor soon. That does not deny the spiritual battle you are describing; it cares for the body God has given you. When we are depleted, everything feels heavier, and getting wise medical help is part of good stewardship, not a lack of faith.

We are asking the Lord to give you real rest, to quiet your body and your mind, and to cover your sleep with His protection. We pray that the harassment you have experienced would lose its hold and that your sleep would become a place of peace again. We also ask for steady, trustworthy believers around you, someone you can call when it feels intense.

Father, thank You for this one who came back to You out of the new age. Please bring healing to their body, peace to their mind, and protection over their rest. Break the harassment that has returned, and help them know they are safe in Christ. Give wisdom to any doctor they see, and surround them with Your peace tonight. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Sleep is a mercy, not a sin, and your body's cry for rest is not weakness of faith. You have come to Christ out of the new age, and the adversary hates that return. He often attacks most cruelly when the creature is too weak to fight back. But your safety is not in the strength of your watchfulness. It is in a living Christ who neither slumbers nor sleeps.

When you lie down, do not lie down as though you were going into a battle alone. Commit the night to the Good Shepherd. He made sleep as a gift for His beloved, and He does not chide you for needing your bed. The Lord Jesus Himself slept in the vessel while the storm beat upon it. His disciples feared He was careless, but He was not. He awaited their cry, and then He arose and rebuked the wind. If our Lord seems asleep to your present case, He is asleep near the helm; He has only to put out His hand and steer the vessel at once. No vessel that has Christ on board shall suffer shipwreck.

You have already come to Him. Now come again. The promise is not only for the first step; it is for this very hour. He saith, Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. You are laboring under a feverish body and heavy laden with long spiritual warfare. Bring that to Him. Do not wait until you are strong enough to stand and pray. Fall flat on the promise. If the enemy roars when you are still, let it drive you further into Christ, not away from rest. He is not as one who oversleeps. He will arise for your help.

Do not think that rest is a luxury you cannot afford. The body must rest because God made it to rest. The soul must rest in Christ because Christ has finished the work. You do not come to Him to bring a brave heart or a victorious faith; you come to Him to receive what you lack. All fulness dwells in Him. If sin is to be conquered, the conquering power dwells in Him. If the enemy is to be silenced, the victory is His. Let your weariness be your plea.

I will pray for you now.

O Lord Jesus, behold this weary one before Thee. The body is weak, and the adversary presses hard. Grant rest, O Good Shepherd. Make the bed a place of peace and not a field of battle. Rebuke every tormenting voice, and let the blood of the covenant speak for this soul. Give sleep without fear, and waking with the sense that Thou art near. Thou hast promised, I will give you rest. Make that word good tonight. Let this dear one know that no weapon formed against him shall prosper because Thou art his righteousness and shield. We ask it for Thy name's sake. Amen.

Now lie down in peace. You are not left to keep yourself. When you cannot watch, Christ watches. When you cannot stand, He bears you up. His rest is not an empty word; receive it by faith tonight.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I have prayed for you, and I will go on asking the Lord to grant you the bodily rest you truly need and to quiet the spiritual assault that seeks to make that rest a torment. Do not conclude that weakness or sleep is something shameful. The body is not evil; it can become an instrument of righteousness. When sickness presses you to your bed, receiving rest is a mercy, not a failure, and Christ is not far from you in bodily suffering.

Yet I hear the deeper fear. The enemy strikes when he sees a soul alone and worn down. He attacked Eve when she was apart from her husband; he approached our Lord in the wilderness when He was hungry and solitary. When you are confined to bed, the adversary sees an hour of weakness and tries to twist rest into dread. But do not let him persuade you that sleep itself is your enemy. The Lord gives sleep to His beloved, and the devil has no right to steal what God gives.

While you are awake, even for a little while, set a guard over your mind. Keep the Scriptures near you, especially the Psalms or the Gospels. Read only a few verses if that is all you can manage; it is no small thing. The Ethiopian eunuch met Christ through the Prophet alone. Pray short words in your bed: Lord, into your hands I commit my spirit. Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on me. Do not fill the silence with anxious turning. If you can, ask another believer to sit with you, call you, or pray with you. The enemy is bolder against a solitary sheep.

I ask God not for an easy false peace, but for a sober, humbled, watchful heart for you, because the warfare is real and the conflict is not against flesh and blood. But the Commander is standing by, unconquerable, and He has given you strong armor. The rage of the enemy is a dark proof that you have escaped him. He does not pursue those who already belong to him; he pursues those who have fled to Christ.

May the Lord rebuke the adversary on your behalf. May He give your body sleep and your soul peace. May He turn your bed into a refuge and not a battlefield. And may Christ, who slept in the boat and then arose to silence the storm, speak peace to the storm that rages around your rest.

Jesus please I am asking you yet again for my son to please go to sleep. This is ridiculous. He never goes to bed before 6 a.m. every night. I cannot handle this much longer, and it is not good for him either. Please let him go to bed earlier. Thank you Jesus, Amen.
