We join with you in lifting up your sister before the throne of grace and we thank you for your loving heart that desires to see her protected, guided, and healed in every way. We agree with you that no evil should come near her home and that the Lord Himself would be her guardian and keeper every step of the way.

We pray for her protection and for wisdom for those who watch over her, for the Lord is faithful to keep those who trust in Him. He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11 and The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul Psalm 121:7. We ask that the Lord would indeed hold her hand, cover her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet with the precious blood of Jesus, and let her know deeply that she is loved and cared for as a child of God. See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God 1 John 3:1 and as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God John 1:12.

We also hear your concern about orientation and influences and not wanting her to be around influences that would lead her astray, and we gently and lovingly speak the truth in love as Scripture calls us to. God created us male and female and calls us to holiness and purity, and His design for sexual expression is within marriage between one man and one woman Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6. Any sexual activity outside of that design, including homosexual practice, is called sin before God. Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals will inherit God’s Kingdom 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Yet we also rejoice that such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God 1 Corinthians 6:11. This shows us that God loves the sinner deeply, offers forgiveness and new life to all who turn to Him, and can transform the heart and renew the mind. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2 and If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray that she would flee every temptation and influence that does not honor God, for Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18, and that she would make good choices rooted in wisdom from above. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5 and Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

We join you in praying that she would see the light, for Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Psalm 119:105 and that the Holy Spirit would always be with her to comfort, teach, and guide her into all truth. We pray for her complete healing, physically, spiritually, and mentally, for by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. We ask the Lord to touch her heart and soul, to cover her mind with peace, and to let her know she is never alone, for Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our salvation, and we lift up this precious sister to You. We ask that You place Your hand upon her and be her guardian, her shield, and her ever present help. Let no evil come near her dwelling and keep her from harmful influences and ungodly counsel. Lead her away from every path that does not align with Your holy Word and give her a love for Your truth and a desire to make good and godly choices. Cover her heart and mind with the blood of Jesus from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Touch her heart, touch her soul, heal her completely in body, mind, and spirit, and fill her anew with Your Holy Spirit that she may walk in Your light all the days of her life. Assure her that she is deeply loved, cherished, and kept as Your child, and draw her ever closer to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We join you in asking God to cover her and keep her safe from harm, and to give wisdom to those who care for her. Wanting her to make good choices and to see the light is a beautiful burden to carry to Jesus, and He hears that kind of faithful, persistent prayer. Growth in faith is often slow and quiet, with ups and downs over a lifetime, shaped as we stay close to God through His Word, through prayer, and through fellowship with other believers, all in step with the Holy Spirit who stays with her.

One simple way to keep loving her well is to stay steady and present. Keep lifting her by name each day, let her know in ordinary ways that she is loved and valued, and when she is open, gently share the hope you have in Christ without pressure. Your consistent care speaks loudly.

Father, we lift this sister to You. Place Your hand of protection over her from head to feet, guard her heart and mind, and bring healing where she hurts physically, spiritually and mentally. Draw her close, let her feel Your Holy Spirit with her, and help her know deeply that she is loved and cared for as Your child. Lead her step by step into wise choices and into Your light. Your prayer for your sister and for her guardian has been laid before the Lord, and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace with great tenderness.

We entreat the Lord to set His gracious hand upon her and to keep her as one whom He has loved with an everlasting love. May He be her guardian and her guide, and may He cover her with that atonement by blood which alone can cleanse and keep the soul. There is a covenant of grace, and an immutable love of the ever blessed Three in One, and upon that we rest when we ask for her protection. We pray that the Lord will preserve her going out and her coming in, that He will preserve her soul from all evil and that the evil one touch her not.

You have asked that no evil influence should come near her home and that she may be kept from ways that would lead her from the path of holiness. We join you in that prayer. The word of God teaches us that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and that He has delivered us from the power of darkness. We therefore pray that He will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, that He will plant within her great principles to avoid everything that is evil, and that He will keep her feet from straying. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy word, for marriage is His institution, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs within it, but we do ask Him to lead her in purity and uprightness and to make His way plain before her face.

We pray also that she may make good choices in life, holding her hand as a father holds the hand of a child. The Lord is a careful dispenser who will not pour out a drop too little or too much, and every trial He permits works for good to His people, not in anger but from His dear covenant love. May He give her wisdom beyond her years, keep her mental balance undisturbed by fear, and give her a will submitted to His own will, that she may hear His voice saying, this is the way, walk ye in it.

You have asked that she may see the light and know she is loved and cared for as a child of the Lord. We pray that she may look unto Him and be saved, for that is all she must do, to look out of herself and away from herself and look to Christ. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. He delights in mercy and His compassions fail not. May the Holy Spirit dwell with her continually, touching her heart and soul, healing her physically, spiritually and mentally, taking the furrow from the brow and the agitation from the bosom and giving the peace and joy which are the fruit of the Spirit.

We ask that the blood of Jesus, shed for sinners, may be her covering and her plea, from the crown of her head to the sole of her foot, that she may know herself cleansed, kept and beloved. May she never say that God has forgotten her, for the Lord is good and His mercy endureth forever, and what He means by His chastenings is not killing but curing, as a physician takes the sharp lancet in His hand to heal.

So we commend her and her guardian to Him who is merciful and gracious, longsuffering and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands and forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. May He open her ears and seal her instruction, withdraw her from every purpose that would harm her, and hide pride from her, and may she grow up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep her in perfect peace as her mind is stayed upon Him, and that she may know in her inmost soul that she is indeed loved, cared for, and kept by Him who gave Himself to bleed and die for mortal men. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour, we pray. Amen.
