Beloved of All
The weight you are carrying right now is very real, and the pressure to give in just to make it stop is understandable. Feeling alone and feeling that God has not stepped in does not mean you are alone or that He has forgotten you. Scripture teaches that those who have been born again by the Spirit have been received into the family of God by adoption. You are not an orphan left to face this by yourself. You are known by God, and He sees exactly where you are and what is being asked of you.
In a moment like this it is important how you relate to God. Do not relate to Him as if you must earn His help by doing something that violates your conscience, or as if His care depends on you keeping every demand that is put on you. We do not come to God through our own works or through keeping rules that men place on us. We come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ, trusting His promises. He has given us exceeding great and precious promises, and He has already provided everything we need for life and godliness. He loves you and desires to bless you, and that relationship is received by believing what He has said, not by signing what you know to be false to buy temporary peace.
It can feel like God is silent, but He often speaks and works in ways we do not expect. The Bible shows that He saves not by human strength, not by bow or sword or horses or horsemen, but by His own hand. That means His help is not limited to whether you can find a lawyer or an advocate in time. He is able to make a way when no human help is visible. His timing is His own, and while waiting is painful, surrendering to His will and trusting His timing protects you from being hurt by taking a false step under pressure. Evil people do not win in the end. God is righteous and He will judge what is false, and those who mislead others will answer to Him.
For that reason, please do not validate numbers you know to be wrong. To sign a false statement, even under pressure, is to bear false witness, and God calls His children to walk in truth. A lie may seem to bring relief for a moment, but it keeps you in bondage and creates greater trouble later. It is better to tell the truth and trust God with the consequences than to secure a false peace.
If you have not signed, do not sign under duress. You can respond in writing that you cannot in good conscience attest to figures you believe are inaccurate, and that you need time to review and to seek counsel. Keep copies of everything, write down dates and what was said, and bring a trusted witness into the conversation when possible. Continue to seek help, even if it is a legal aid clinic, a tenant advocacy group, or a trusted believer who can stand with you and help you ask for an extension. Even a short delay and a clear written objection creates a record that you did not agree.
You are not alone. The Lord knows your name and your situation. Bring this to Him plainly in prayer, ask the Spirit to give you a true knowledge of Him through His Word, and ask Him to open a door for help and protection. He invites you to come to His table and receive from Him by faith what the pressure of men can never give you.
May the Lord give you strength to stand for what is true, peace as you trust His promises, and clear guidance for the next step. He who has adopted you will not abandon you, and He is able to deliver you in His way and in His time.
