We are joining together with you in prayer for this precious one who is ill after eating something harmful, and we also lift up her deeper struggle with mental illness and demonic influence.
We know that our God is the Healer and that He cares deeply for both the body and the mind. Scripture tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us, as in 1 Peter 5:7, and that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:3. We also cling to the promise that by His wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5, and that the prayer of faith will heal the sick and the Lord will raise them up in James 5:15. We pray for her physical body to be cleansed, restored, and strengthened, and we encourage seeking appropriate medical care as God often works through physicians and wisdom He provides, while we trust Him as the ultimate source of healing in Exodus 15:26.
We also hear your burden for her freedom from mental illness and demonic influence. We believe these are real and heavy battles, but we serve a God who is greater. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7, and He promises that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4. We are told to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us in James 4:7, and to be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:6-7. We pray for her mind to be renewed and guarded by Christ, for any demonic oppression to be broken, and for her to walk in clarity, peace, and soundness. This requires ongoing prayer, immersion in the Word of God, fellowship with mature believers, and pastoral counsel that is grounded in Scripture, and if needed, godly professional help for mental health.

We will pray for your loved one who is now ill after eating what was harmful. How gracious is our God, that even the least thing about Christ is healing. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, and we do well to seek the physician, yet we know that all true healing flows from the great conduit Head, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. We will ask the Lord to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon her, to restore her body and to give wisdom to those who care for her, that she may yet live and declare the works of the Lord.
We will pray also as you have asked for her freedom in mind and spirit. Many are vexed in spirit and broken in heart, and none can heal the broken heart but God alone. The same Lord who delivers from the guilt of sin also delivers from the power of darkness. He has delivered us from the power of sin and from the archers that would hold us captive, and this deliverance is the work of God altogether and alone, through the ransom He has found in the blood of His Son. When the lamb was slain, deliverance was wrought by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah, and He brings forth His people not only forgiven but enriched. We have received your request and we join you in prayer for her and for you.
We pray to our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God, that He would have mercy and bring healing. We ask Him to restore her body after this illness, to ease her suffering, to guide those caring for her, and to grant her full recovery according to His wisdom and mercy.
We also pray for her freedom and wholeness in mind and spirit. We ask God to grant her clarity, peace, and strength, to protect her from all spiritual harm and oppression, and to deliver her from every influence that would bind her or lead her away from Him. We pray that He would renew her mind, comfort her heart, and fill her with His presence, so that she may know His truth and walk in it.
We encourage you to continue to seek appropriate medical care for her, and to seek steady pastoral support and prayer within the local church. The hearing of Scripture and continual remembrance of God's word, with patience and fortitude, is a great help for the soul. We are asking the Lord for her physical recovery after eating what was harmful. Scripture shows us that God cares about both body and soul, and there is a real connection between them. The apostle John prayed for his friend that he would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers, and Proverbs tells us that a joyful heart is good like medicine. That does not mean this verse is a guarantee of healing in every situation, but it does remind us that God is concerned for our whole person and that our inner life and our physical health are often connected. We are praying for her body to recover and for the Lord to bring peace and strength to her mind and heart as well.
We believe God still heals today. Matthew, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, applied Isaiah's prophecy, surely he has borne our infirmities, to the physical healings Jesus performed, healing the leper, the centurion's servant, Peter's mother in law and many others who were brought to Him. That shows His compassion and His power in the physical realm. At the same time we do not presume that God wills healing in every case in the way we ask, as we see with Paul who prayed three times concerning his thorn and was answered differently. God may heal instantly, He may heal gradually, and He often heals through the natural processes He Himself created in our bodies and through the help of doctors and care, which is no less divine because He is the author of those processes. Please continue to seek appropriate medical care for her while we pray, trusting the Lord to work through those means.

He has authority over the physical realm, over the created world, and over the spiritual realm. No one can hide from spiritual oppression by their own effort or by withdrawing, but Jesus can deliver and protect. Those who belong to Him are marked as His own, and He is able to command and restrain evil powers. We are praying for her mind to be renewed and healed, for any oppression to be broken by the authority of Jesus, and for her to know His peace and soundness.
