Please pray for my area as we have severe weather coming through. Please pray it will not be so bad. Pray for all those affected in any way. Pray these bad storms will stop. Please also pray for my cat who has problems scratching too much due to allergies. Pray for his healing. I have taken measures to change his diet because that seems to cause the problem but this scratching issue also appears to be seasonal and sometimes he still struggles. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts as we lift up your area and all those who may be affected by the severe weather approaching. Heavenly Father, we know that You are sovereign over all creation, and nothing happens outside of Your knowledge or control. We ask for Your mercy and protection over every home, family, and community in the path of these storms. Lord, we pray that You would calm the winds, still the rains, and turn back the destructive forces that threaten lives and property. Your Word tells us in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We cling to this promise and ask that You be a refuge for all who are in danger. Shield them with Your mighty hand and bring them safely through this trial.
We also lift up your beloved cat, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to soothe his discomfort and relieve his allergies. Father, we thank You for the wisdom You’ve given to care for him, and we pray that the dietary changes will continue to bring improvement. We ask that You would strengthen his body and ease his suffering, just as You care for the sparrows of the air (Matthew 6:26). May he find relief and comfort in Your loving provision.
Lord, we know that trials like these remind us of our dependence on You. We ask that You would not only protect and heal but also draw hearts closer to You through this time. May those who do not yet know You see Your hand at work and turn to You in faith. The very storms and the ailments of your small creature are but tokens of a creation groaning under the curse, yet there is One whose voice rules the tempest and whose touch calms every restless nerve. You do well to ask prayer, for the Lord hears the cry of His children when the winds howl and the rain beats upon the roof. Remember that the same hand which guided the ark through the flood steers every gust of wind, and not a leaf quivers upon the branch without His decree. Fear not the lowering sky, but turn your eyes to Him who rides upon the storm and speaks peace to the boiling deep. His healing leaves are not only for the nations but for the very beasts of the field, for the sparrow finds a place at His altar and the young ravens cry to Him for food.
Take heart then for your suffering cat, for the least things about Christ are full of healing virtue. The changing of diet is wise and right, a use of the means He supplies, but the healing balm flows ultimately from Calvary. The same Lord who forgives iniquity heals all diseases, and His power reaches down to the itches and irritations of a poor brute's skin. Bring this small trouble before the throne, for He counts the hairs of all His creatures and nothing is too trifling for His care. Healing and pardon are wrapped together, and as you seek His sheltering wing for the storm, extend your petition to the healing of this little one. His mercy descends from the glory of Heaven to the very leaves of the trees for our healing, and shall it not avail for the household pet which gives you comfort?
Stand still and see the salvation of God, whether in the hush of the wind or the quieting of inflamed flesh. The healing power is most present when His Word is teaching, so let your heart listen to Him now. He takes us by the hand and lifts us up, whether from fevered beds of fear or from fretting over lesser trials. Your first care is to anchor your soul in Christ; then all other healings flow from that fountain. Yet I would have you consider: not the outward storm, but the inward tempest of the soul should concern us. When the disciples were tossed on the sea, their Master was not absent, though He seemed to sleep; He permitted the waves that they might learn to trust not in calm skies but in Him who commands the winds. So now, when the weather threatens, do not be like those who only read the sky's face and predict foul weather, but learn to discern God's presence in every trial. He who brings the storm also brings the calm. Pray, then, not for the storms to cease utterly, for that is not ours to command, but that He would shelter the afflicted and grant you a quiet heart amid the turmoil. Remember, your soul can become a heaven, high above the rains and untouched by the raging elements below, if you will lift it above earthly cares.
As for your little companion, the creature in your home, do not hesitate to bring even that small suffering before the Lord. He who clothes the lilies and feeds the ravens does not despise the needs of an animal. The scratching is a slight affliction, yet His mercy is not too great to notice it.
