Severe weather

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray. We're having severe weather in my area but I am working (I work from home). It looks really bad outside. Im scared. I cant stop working. Thank you.

We hear your fear and concern as severe weather approaches your area, and we stand with you in prayer. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when the storms rage around us, He is in control, and we can trust in His protection. We pray that you would feel His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father God, we come before You now, lifting up [] and their home to You. Lord, we ask that You would calm the winds, still the rains, and protect their property from harm. Surround them with Your angels, shielding them from danger. Give them the strength to continue their work with a steady heart, knowing that You are with them. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We declare Your promises over their life, that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). May they feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that they are not alone.

Lord, we also pray for their neighbors and community. Protect those who may be in greater danger, and give wisdom to emergency responders and leaders making decisions. We ask that You would use this storm to draw people closer to You, revealing Your power and love. May Your name be glorified in all things.

If fear tries to take hold, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and Your love is perfect. Help [] to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Remind them that even the winds and waves obey Your voice (Mark 4:41), and You are sovereign over all creation.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms the storms and brings peace to the troubled heart. Amen.

We hear the fear in your words, and it makes complete sense. Watching a storm turn dangerous outside your window while you're tethered to a desk is an unnerving, helpless feeling. One of our pastors once described sheltering in his bathroom as a tornado passed over, he said those few minutes felt like an eternity. The noise, the dark sky, and the uncertainty all press in at once, and it's okay to admit you're scared.

While you keep working, one concrete thing you can do right now is step away for just a minute to move to an interior room or hallway, away from windows, if conditions worsen and your work allows even a brief pause. Having a pair of sturdy shoes nearby and a flashlight or fully charged phone can also help you feel a little more grounded. Sometimes practical readiness eases the mind enough to keep going.

The work may actually be a mercy right now, something for your mind to grip other than the storm, but we know it's hard to concentrate when your heart is racing. You're not alone in this. Others are praying, and God's nearness isn't limited by weather.

Lord Jesus, You are not shaken by wind or storm. Please quiet the danger around our friend, and quiet the fear within them. Hold their home and their loved ones safe. Give them steady focus for the tasks they must finish, and bring this weather to a swift and merciful end. In Your strong name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The tempest rages, yet your post is fixed. This is no marvel, for a man under orders must stand his watch though the heavens themselves fall. You are inside the sphere of your appointed labor, and there is no safer place to be. The vessel may pitch, but the passenger who must cling to a rope and hold fast is less likely to be tossed into the deep than he who wanders the deck in panic. Your work, which seems a cruel necessity, is God’s tether to keep you occupied and anchored.

Do you not know the story of the lad on board ship in the time of storm? He alone was without fear, for his father held the helm. Is your Father not at the helm of this tempest? The clouds are the dust of His feet, and the lightnings are His messengers. You are looking at the blackness bending over the earth, but have you considered that it bows to His command? The unbelief of fear is a foul dishonor. It whispers that He rules in the calm but not in the chaos, that His arm is strong only when the sky is bright. Away with such traitorous suggestions! He who strengthens you for the day’s work does not palsy when the winds blow. Fear is a plant that ought never to cumber the soil of a believer’s heart, for it sucks the life out of faith.

Wherefore do you fear damage or destruction? If you are His, your life is a charmed thing until your course is finished. No bolt can fall, no wind can smite, but by His permission. Your safety lies not in the absence of danger, but in the presence of “God our Savior,” who is able to keep you from falling. Do you imagine the ship will founder while your Father is captain? That the house shall become your tomb while Jesus has promised to prepare a place for you? Such fears are shadows, and a soul trusting in Christ should walk through them unafraid. The command is absolute and unqualified, "Fear not." It is not a suggestion for serene Sabbaths; it is a precept for days of blackness and howling wind.

Your labor is not a curse to be wept over; it is a mercy. To work the works of Him that sent you is to be occupied with your hands while your heart stays firm upon God. If you could stop, you might sit and fret, and so let terror eat your strength. But you cannot stop. Therefore, this is your hour to feel the leather of the harness. Look not at the lightning; look at the duty before you. Your desk is your watchtower. The promise stands, "I am with you; be not dismayed." To mind your work in a storm is no small faith. It is the quiet valor of a child who trusts his Father to manage the hurricane while the child does his little task.

Pray without ceasing, but do not let your prayer be a shriek of bondage. Let it be the lifting of your soul to the one who holds the winds in His fists. If the storm deepens, let this be the song of your soul, "He is my stronghold; I will not fear." Trust Him in the dark as you would in the light. And while the rain beats against the glass, know that the same Hand which sprinkles the hills with showers will either preserve you or take you swiftly home to be with Him forevermore. That is not a terror; it is exceeding joy in the bosom of the storm. Therefore, to your work, and let your heart be calm.

The terror of the storm is not in the winds that rage, but in the mind that is not firmly fixed. When the soul cleaves to God, it rides above every wave. You say you cannot stop working: then work, but let your heart cry out silently to the Master of the sea. He who once said to the disciples, “It is I, be not afraid,” still speaks that word to those who call upon Him.

He allowed that storm on the lake to arise so that they would seek Him; He stilled it to reveal His power. So now, let this trial drive you to cling more tightly to Him. The tree rooted deep is not shaken by any blast. Let the fear of God be the nail that holds your flesh firm, and no gust of wind will tear you up.

If you merely glance at the clouds with the eyes of the body, fear will enter; but if you fix your inward gaze upon His providence, you will find that the very things that seem threatening are working for your safety. Joseph’s prison was a refuge, not a ruin. That fierce weather outside may be the very means God uses to draw you nearer to Himself and to calm the greater storms within your soul. Do not look to the sky for peace; look to the One who commands it.

Even as you labor, you can labor in the presence of Him who is Peace. Let your work be accompanied by prayer, and you will find that no exterior turmoil can disturb the calm He establishes in the heart that trusts Him.
