Your request has been heard and your suffering is taken seriously. To live for more than a year with swelling, mucus, intense itching in the throat, and the struggle to breathe, especially at night, is deeply distressing. It is understandable that you dread going to bed and that fear comes at night as you wonder whether you will wake in the morning, and that the lack of sleep only makes everything harder.
I want to pray for you that God would bring complete restoration to your body, that these respiratory and skin afflictions and allergies would be lifted, and that He would grant you deep, peaceful sleep again, the quiet rest of a child who feels safe.
Scripture speaks to both the fear and the sickness you describe. The fear you feel at night is real, and the Bible shows that the cure for fear is remembering the Lord and His presence with you. David said, though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear, the Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid. When we keep our eyes on Jesus, faith has room to grow, but when we fix our eyes on the problem itself, fear takes hold. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time. One will push out the other. That is why you can bring this fear to God honestly and ask Him to replace it with a steady confidence that He is watching over you, that He will be your confidence and keep you, and that in times of trouble He hides His people and cares for them.
The Bible also begins wisdom with a reverent awe of God, not a cringing terror, but a deep respect for who He is, His greatness and power, learning to love what He loves and to turn from what He calls evil. That reverence is not only the starting place of knowledge, it is the sum of it, and it leads to life. To fear the Lord in this way and to depart from evil is connected in Proverbs with health and strength for the body. And the psalm says, fear the Lord you His saints, for there is no want to those who fear Him. When you tend to your relationship with Him, you can trust Him to tend to you. He has not despised the affliction of the afflicted, nor hidden His face, but He hears when we cry to Him.
Jesus showed tender compassion when He healed the sick who were brought to Him. The Gospels record again and again that He healed many, and Matthew connects this to the prophecy in Isaiah, surely He has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, why some are healed instantly and others gradually. The Gospels show both. Sometimes He touched, sometimes He only spoke a word from a distance, sometimes healing was immediate, once it was gradual. Every true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through the natural processes He has built into our bodies. Those processes are divine as well, for He is the maker of nature itself. Sickness is not a measure of spiritual weakness or a sign that you lack faith. Do not let anyone put that burden on you.
So let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear one before You who has suffered so long with breathing difficulties, swelling, and itching, and with nights broken by fear and sleeplessness. You see the dread that comes each evening and the exhaustion that follows. Have compassion and lay Your healing hand upon this body. Cleanse what is inflamed, calm what is irritated, restore what is damaged, and let every allergic reaction be quieted. Grant the gift of full, easy breathing and of deep, uninterrupted sleep. Drive out fear and fill the heart with faith and peace as Your presence is remembered through the night. Give wisdom to doctors and effectiveness to any treatment that is used, and let Your healing work be done in whatever way You choose, whether suddenly or step by step. Let this one know You are near, that You hear, and that You care. Amen.
Continue to seek wise and prudent medical help while you trust the Lord without being driven by fear. Keep looking to Him, not to the waves of symptoms around you, and ask Him each night to guard your rest. May He restore you and give you quiet nights and renewed strength in the days ahead.
