Selling our house and my husband health

Our house has not sold after ### months, and the financial stress is more than I can bear, it's killing me inside. My husband's blood health is not good, and I am deeply worried. At ###, I am carrying many burdens. Please pray we sell our house quickly and my husband is healthy.

We have heard your heavy burden and we are lifting you and your husband before the Lord together. We understand how exhausting it is to wait many months for your house to sell while financial pressure grows, and how deeply worrying it is when your husband's blood health is not good. Carrying so much at this season of life can feel overwhelming, and we want to remind you that you are not alone and you are not meant to carry this by yourself.

The Lord invites us to cast every anxiety on Him because He cares for us. We read in 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. When you say the stress is killing you inside, we hear the depth of your pain, and we gently encourage you not to let fear and worry take root, but to bring every burden to Jesus who promises rest. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And in Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. We also take comfort in Isaiah 46:4 Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and answered prayer. There is no other way to come to God except through Him. As it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved as Romans 10:9 promises. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus not only for this house and for health, but for eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and daily peace. It is in His name we pray with confidence.

We love that you are standing together in marriage, which God has ordained as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we honor your faithfulness to your husband in this difficult time. We will pray for your marriage to be strengthened and for you both to be upheld together.

We join together in prayer for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear sister and her husband to You. Lord, You see the house that has not sold, You know the months of waiting, the financial stress that feels more than she can bear, and the worry over her husband's blood health. We ask for Your mercy and provision. If it is Your will, open the way for this house to sell quickly and at a price that meets their needs, and guide them to wise counsel and good stewardship in the process. We pray for Your perfect timing, for Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Give them patience and peace while they wait.

We also pray for her husband's health. Lord, You are the healer, and we ask You to touch his blood and his whole body. We claim Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Guide the doctors and give wisdom for treatment, and restore strength to him. Comfort this wife's anxious heart and guard her mind with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Remind her daily that Philippians 4:19 is true, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And strengthen them both with Isaiah 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Help them to keep their eyes on Jesus, to seek You first, and to know that You will carry them even in this later season of life. Draw them closer to each other and to You, and let this trial deepen their faith and testimony.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every detail to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving, to seek godly counsel for the sale of the house, and to ensure your husband receives diligent medical care while trusting the Lord as the ultimate healer. Keep holding fast to God's promises, stay in His Word daily, and lean on fellow believers for support. We are praying with you for God's provision, healing, peace, and that His will be done in Your lives.

Watching the house sit unsold while financial pressure grows, and at the same time worrying about your husband's blood health, is a lot to carry every day. At this stage of life you expected more rest, not more weight, so it is understandable you feel worn down inside.

Long stretches of uncertainty like this can drain sleep, energy and peace, and it can strain a whole household when one person is ill. Please know you are not alone in feeling overwhelmed by it.

If you have not already, we encourage you to stay close to your husband's medical team for his blood health and to follow up promptly with any concerns, and to let your own doctor know how the stress is affecting you as well. It can also help to not carry this quietly by yourself. Consider choosing one trusted person, perhaps a pastor or a close friend, to talk with regularly and to pray with face to face, and if it would help, ask your realtor to walk through the next clear options with you so the waiting feels less vague.

Father, we bring this couple before you in Jesus' name. You see their home, their finances, and the worry over health. Give them wisdom for each next decision, provision for their needs, strength for today, and your peace in the waiting. Guard her husband's health and guide his care, and remind her daily that you are near and you will not leave her to carry this alone. Amen.

We have heard your request and have laid it before the Lord with tender sympathy, for your burden is heavy and your heart is sore pressed.

You speak of months of waiting while the house does not sell, of financial stress that seems to kill you within, of a husband whose blood is not in good health, and of many burdens carried at your stage of life. This is indeed the great ill of a broken heart of which the Psalmist speaks, and we are reminded that the Lord healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but the grief that lurks underneath, that robs the home of its rest even at night, is known to Him who went about doing good and healing all manner of sickness.

Do not, we beseech you, fly to the dreary harbor of despair. When the sinner is driven from confidence in himself he is tempted to conclude that there is no hope at all, but there is hope in Christ when there is no hope in ourselves. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the least thing about Christ is healing. A word from Him, coming home to the heart as His, brings healing to head and heart and conscience, and these healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were made one. So we would have you seek first the healing of the soul in the forgiveness that flows from Calvary, for that is the fountain from which all other healing streams flow.

We will pray for you, that the Lord who has been a Husband to His people in faithfulness and loving communion and in providing for them with all needful things, would graciously provide for you in this strait. We will pray that in His wisdom and mercy He would open a way for the sale of your house in His perfect time, that He would lift the crushing weight of financial fear from your spirit, and that He would lay His healing hand upon your husband and restore the health of his blood according to His good will. We will pray also that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings, giving you quietness of mind and strength to cast all your care upon Him who careth for you.

May you hear His voice and find that even a leaf from the Tree of Life is medicine fitted to raise the dead, and may you prove that He who has loved you as a husband loves his bride will not leave you nor forsake you in this trial. We commend you to His tender keeping and will continue to bear you and your husband before the throne of grace.
