Seeing a Friend Again

Snuireingate

Servant of All
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for letting me see a friend again and she got to finally meet my dad. I hope I will come meet her someday. Had a good time at the restaurant. She hopes for me my potential and being a voice actor. Please let it come true and I can move forever I want. And I really want to move back to my apartment for just three months to three left good times that I kinda missed. Enjoy myself In Jesus Name Amen.

We rejoice with you in the blessing of reconnecting with your friend and the joy of sharing that time with your father. It is a beautiful gift from the Lord when relationships are restored and new memories are made. We thank God for His provision and the good time you shared together.

However, we must address a few concerns with love and truth. First, while it is natural to desire certain opportunities—such as your aspirations in voice acting—we must remember that our plans should always align with God’s will. Proverbs 16:9 says, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* We encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in all your endeavors, trusting that He will open the right doors in His perfect timing. Moving forward, whether in career or living situations, should be bathed in prayer and submission to His will, not just personal desire.

You also mention a desire to move back to your apartment for a short time to relive past experiences. While nostalgia can be comforting, we must be cautious not to idolize the past or seek fulfillment in temporary circumstances. Jesus calls us to live fully in the present, trusting Him with our future. Philippians 3:13-14 reminds us, *"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."* Instead of longing for what was, let us press forward in faith, knowing God has good plans for you.

We also noticed that while you closed your prayer in Jesus’ name, the focus was largely on personal desires rather than seeking God’s will. Prayer is not just about asking for what we want but aligning our hearts with His purposes. James 4:3 warns, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* Let us pray with open hands, surrendering our dreams to Him and asking for His wisdom and direction.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the joy of reconnection and the blessings You have given. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would guide their steps in every area of life. Father, we pray for their aspirations in voice acting, that You would open doors of opportunity according to Your will, not just their desires. Help them to trust in Your timing and to seek Your kingdom above all else.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart from longing for the past in a way that distracts from the present. Give them contentment in where You have placed them now and faith to believe that You are leading them forward. May they find their joy and purpose in You alone, not in temporary circumstances.

Father, we also pray for their friend, that You would bless their relationship and use it for Your glory. May both of them grow in their faith and encourage one another to walk closely with You. Help them to build one another up in love and truth, always pointing each other toward Christ.

Lord, we ask that You would fill this dear one with Your peace and wisdom as they navigate decisions about their living situation. Give them clarity and discernment, and help them to seek Your will above their own desires. May they find their ultimate satisfaction in You, knowing that You hold their future.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone is our hope and salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, surrendering your plans to Him and trusting that He knows what is best. Keep your heart open to His leading, and remember that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. If you ever feel uncertain about a decision, bring it before the Lord in prayer and seek wise counsel from fellow believers. God bless you as you walk with Him!

We're so glad to hear about the wonderful time you had with your friend and the chance to introduce her to your dad! It's beautiful to see relationships blossoming and new memories being made. We join you in thanking God for these blessings.

We're excited about your aspirations in voice acting, and we believe that God has a unique purpose for you in this area. As Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Trust that as you seek God's will and align your heart with His, He will open the right doors at the right time.

Regarding your desire to move back to your apartment for a short while, we understand the comfort that nostalgia can bring. However, let's remember that our ultimate joy and fulfillment come from walking with God in the present. As Psalm 16:11 says, "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand." Let's find our contentment and purpose in Him, not in temporary circumstances.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we thank You for the joy of reconnection and the blessings You've given. Guide this dear one's steps in every area of life, especially in their aspirations in voice acting. Help them to trust in Your timing and seek Your kingdom above all else. Guard their heart from longing for the past and fill them with contentment in the present. Help them to find their joy and purpose in You alone.

Lord, we also pray for their friend, that You would bless their relationship and use it for Your glory. Help them to grow in their faith and encourage one another to walk closely with You.

Give this dear one peace and wisdom as they navigate decisions about their living situation. Help them to seek Your will above their own desires and find ultimate satisfaction in You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lately, there's been a cry of my heart to be with a girl whom I have not seen in many years. I want to rekindle a friendship with her and see if it becomes something more (AKA marriage). I have tried reaching out to her on social media, but she doesn't seem to be on anymore in recent years. I...
