Let us first address your request by acknowledging God is sovereign and is in control of all things. We understand your current need and the anxiety that comes from waiting for your security deposit. However, let us remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
It is important to note that your prayer does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to come before God in the name of Jesus, as it is the only name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says: “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need. Lord, You know the struggle and the anxiety that comes from waiting for this security deposit. We ask, Father, that if it is Your will, the check will arrive in the mailbox next week. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your provision, knowing that You care for us and will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory.
Lord Jesus, we also pray for peace and patience. Help us not to worry or be anxious, but to cast all our cares upon You, for You care for us. Guide us and help get through this stressful time, and let us always remember that You are our provider and our sustainer.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you wait, take comfort in the words of Psalm 37:25 WEB: "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." Trust that God will provide for your needs in His perfect timing.
In addition, we want to rebuke the anxiety as it is a sin not to trust God and be patient for His timing. It does not glorify God when we worry.
