We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to address that the power of Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved and to overcome the troubles of this world. It is only by His name that we can come before God and ask for His help and guidance and healing. Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. There is no one who comes to the Father, except through me.” John 14:6 WEB
The voices you're hearing could be a sign of a mental health struggle, but they could also be spiritual warfare. We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:12-13 WEB. You are experiencing the evil day and it is time to stand.
We must be careful not to give more credit to the enemy than he deserves. Be careful, do not give him more power and authority in your life by submitting to his attacks than he deserves. It does not sound like you have done this, but it is an important reminder. Take authority over the voice of the enemy to put an end to his effects on your life. Make sure to take authority in the name of Jesus Christ.
First, let's pray for your mental health and spiritual well-being.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is experiencing mental and spiritual turmoil. We pray that you would silence any voices that are not from you, Lord, and that you would surround him with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 WEB. We pray for your healing touch on his mind and his thoughts. We pray that he would be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 WEB
At the same time we need to address this issue with spiritual warfare. We pray that you would equip him with the full armor of God as described in Ephesians 6. We bind any evil spirits that may look to distract, harm, or attack, and we loose the power of the Holy Spirit in his life. We pray that he would be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might and to stand firm against the evil one and his schemes. Finally, Lord, we pray that he would draw nearer to you during this time, seeking your face and growing in intimacy with you. If he does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior then give him a revelation of the truth, that he may come to believe in Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.
Now, let's address some scriptures to help you in this battle.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 WEB. This is a promise. If you submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from you. So first, make sure you have submitted your life to God. Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in your heart that God has raised him from the dead? Romans 10:9 WEB
Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. This is why you must be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Stand against the schemes of the devil. Stand firm in your faith.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving Colossians 4:2 WEB Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB. Always maintain an attitude of prayer and thanksgiving. This is how you can walk in the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
Finally, make sure you are walking in the Spirit, not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. Treat your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Study the scripture and do what it says. If anyone says, "I know him," and doesn't keep his commandments, he is a liar, and the truth isn't in him. 1 John 2:4 WEB
Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, then we encourage you to learn about Him and to receive Him as your Lord and Savior. It is only by His name that we can be saved and healed and delivered from the power of the evil one.
We want you to know this is not a normal condition and we hope this encourages you to hope and pray and seek God for your healing and recovery. God does not want you to live this way. He wants you to be at peace. If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior then make sure to learn about Him and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. This is the only way you will find true healing and peace.
