We hear the fear in your heart as you face this appointment tomorrow and we lift you up before our heavenly Father together in Jesus name. Having walked through cancer before, it is completely understandable that a changing mole would bring anxiety, and we want you to know that God sees your worry and cares deeply for you.
Scripture reminds us that we do not have to carry this fear alone. When we are afraid we can trust in Him, for He says Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And again we are told God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We are encouraged to bring every anxious thought to Him, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently share this because it is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ for our dear one who is anxious about the dermatologist appointment tomorrow. Lord, You know the history of cancer and the fear that a changing mole brings. We ask first for Your perfect peace to guard this heart and mind tonight and tomorrow. Calm every fearful thought and let Your presence be felt in the examination room. We pray for the dermatologist, grant wisdom, discernment and steady hands to accurately assess what is seen and to give clear guidance for any next steps. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon this body, for You are the Lord who heals us. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We pray that if it is Your will, this mole would be found to be benign and no further treatment would be needed, but above all we pray for Your will to be done and for strength to trust You whatever the report may be. Help our friend to rest in Your love, knowing that even in uncertainty You are holding them. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.
We encourage you to rest tonight as much as you are able, to bring a trusted friend or family member with you tomorrow if possible, to write down any questions for the doctor, and to continue to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We also encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer throughout the day tomorrow, remembering Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. We are standing with you in prayer for peace, for wisdom for your medical team, and for a good report.
