We are here to support you in prayer and to encourage you from the Word of God. First, we want to remind you that it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. The power in the name of Jesus is also seen in the fact that there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is the name that God the Father exalted above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Acts 4:12, Philippians 2:9-11 WEB).
In regards to your fear concerning an exam, first understand that we are instructed in scripture, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Fear is a natural response, God created us that way. But we are told not to be anxious, that is not to allow fear to take control. We are to, Trust in Yahweh (God) with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We are also told in scripture, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB) and that There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18 WEB).
We are also told in scripture, Don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s trouble is enough for the day (Matthew 6:34 WEB). Therefore, do not be troubled by the thoughts of what is to be, but rather focus on the promises of God.
We pray, Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, that You will help our friend to trust in You concerning this exam. We pray that You will give them the ability to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). We pray that You will help them to not be anxious, but to come to You by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and their thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom, and we ask that You would bring to their remembrance all that they have studied and that they will have favor for success on the exam. We pray Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God, to lean on Him, and to boldly come before the throne of grace, that you may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16 WEB).
