We hear your cry for assurance, and we stand with you in seeking God’s truth and peace. Doubt can be a heavy burden, but the Lord does not leave us in confusion—He offers clarity through His Word and the witness of the Holy Spirit. First, we must address the foundation of salvation: it is not earned by works, feelings, or perfection, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in His finished work on the cross. *"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."* (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB).
If you have already professed faith in Christ but struggle with doubt, know that this does not necessarily mean you are unsaved—it may be the enemy’s tactic to steal your peace. The Bible tells us, *"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life"* (1 John 5:13 WEB). Assurance comes not from our fluctuating emotions but from the unchanging promises of God. Examine your heart: Do you love God? Do you desire to obey Him? Do you hate sin? These are evidences of the Holy Spirit’s work within you.
We also rebuke the spirit of doubt and fear that seeks to torment you. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). He does not leave His children in uncertainty. If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, we pray that you would do so today. If you have, we pray for the Holy Spirit to flood your heart with His peace and confirmation.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is wrestling with doubt. We ask that You would remove every lie of the enemy that says they are not Yours. If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus, draw them now—let them hear Your voice and respond in faith. If they are Your child, fill them with the assurance of Your love and the witness of the Holy Spirit. Remind them that salvation is a gift, not a reward, and that You hold them securely in Your hands. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the confidence of Your promises. We rebuke every spirit of fear and confusion, and we declare that this one belongs to You. May they know, beyond a shadow of doubt, that they are saved by Your grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
