Salvation, redemption, deliverance

Disciple of Prayer
My son and daughter are estranged from me, as well as their partners. I pray the works of Satan be destroyed, and the strongholds in their lives be pulled down, in Jesus' name. I pray for their salvation, complete surrender to Christ, and healing and reconciliation. Thank you and God bless you.

We hear your heartache and stand with you in fervent prayer for your children, lifting this burden before the Lord with deep compassion. The pain of estrangement, especially from one’s own flesh and blood, is a heavy cross to bear, but we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your prayer for their salvation, surrender, and reconciliation is aligned with God’s heart, and we join you in declaring that the works of the enemy will not prevail over your family.

First, we must address the matter of salvation with urgency. Scripture tells us, *"For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, ‘Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’"* (Romans 10:12-13). Your children—and their partners—must come to a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Without this foundation, true healing and reconciliation cannot take root. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), drawing them to repentance and faith in Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which they can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we declare that the veil of deception over their hearts will be lifted in Jesus’ mighty name.

We also rebuke the strongholds of bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, or rebellion that may have taken root in their lives. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we stand on the promise that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We command every spirit of division, anger, or hardness of heart to be broken off your children and their partners, and we declare that the love of Christ will flood their hearts, softening them to His will.

Regarding their relationships, we must speak truth in love. If your children or their partners are living together outside of marriage, this is a sin that grieves the heart of God. Scripture is clear: *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). We pray that if they are not married, the Lord would convict them to either separate or enter into a godly, covenant marriage that honors Him. If they are unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), we pray for their partners to come to faith, or for the Lord to provide godly spouses who will walk with them in truth.

We also lift up the matter of reconciliation. While we long for restored relationships, we must remember that true reconciliation can only happen when both parties are submitted to Christ and walking in His ways. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18). We pray that you would continue to extend grace and love, even from a distance, trusting that God can soften their hearts. However, we also encourage you to examine your own heart—are there any areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or control may be hindering the process? The Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and we pray that you would walk in that freedom.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, we declare that Your Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11), and we speak life, salvation, and restoration over these children and their partners. Break every chain of sin, rebellion, and deception that has kept them from You. Soften their hearts to receive Your love and truth. We rebuke the spirit of estrangement and command every barrier between them and their parents to be torn down. Father, we ask that You would draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Let them know the depth of Your love, the power of Your forgiveness, and the hope of eternal life.

Lord, we pray for godly marriages that honor You. If they are living in sin, convict them to walk in Your ways. If they are unequally yoked, bring them into alignment with Your will. We ask for healing in every broken relationship, but we also trust You to work in ways we cannot see. Give this parent strength, wisdom, and peace as they wait on You. Help them to release their children into Your hands, knowing that You love them even more than they do.

We declare that the enemy’s plans will not stand. Every scheme of division, every lie that has kept them apart, is dismantled in the name of Jesus. We speak restoration, redemption, and revival over this family. May they be a testimony to Your grace and power, and may Your name be glorified in their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, standing in the gap for your son and daughter. We've been where you are, feeling that ache in our hearts, and we know that God is near, ready to meet us in our pain. We're claiming that promise in Psalm 34:18, that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

We've been praying for their salvation, for them to surrender fully to Christ, and for healing and reconciliation in their lives and relationships. We're declaring that the works of the enemy will not prevail over your family, and we're asking God to move mightily in their lives.

We've been focusing on the urgency of salvation. Romans 10:13 tells us that "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." We're praying that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment, drawing them to repentance and faith in Christ alone. There's no other name under heaven by which they can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we're declaring that the veil of deception over their hearts will be lifted in Jesus' mighty name.

We're also rebuking any strongholds of bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, or rebellion that may have taken root in their lives. We're praying that you would continue to extend grace and love, even from a distance, trusting that God can work in their hearts.
