We lift this request to the Lord with heavy hearts, for the salvation of a soul is the most precious work of the Holy Spirit. First, we must address the nature of your relationship with this man. Scripture is clear that believers are not to be "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). While your desire for his salvation is godly, we must examine whether this relationship aligns with biblical principles. Are you both pursuing marriage with the understanding that it is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman who share faith in Christ? If not, we must rebuke any path that leads to compromise or sin.
The Word of God declares, "For what partnership have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this man is not a believer, we must question whether this relationship is honoring to God. Courtship should always have marriage as its goal, and marriage is designed by God to be between one man and one woman who are both committed followers of Christ (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33).
We also must address the issue of intimacy outside of marriage. If you and this man are engaging in any physical relationship beyond what is pure and holy, we rebuke that in the name of Jesus. The Bible is clear: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication is sin, and we must repent of it and turn away from it. If this is the case, we urge you to seek accountability and purity, for the Lord desires holiness in His children.
Now, let us pray fervently for this man’s salvation, for there is no greater joy than seeing a soul come to Christ. Heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:7), and we join in that rejoicing as we intercede for him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up this man to You, asking that You would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Soften his heart, Father, and remove any hardness or deception that keeps him from knowing You. We ask that You would give him dreams and visions, as You did for Your servants in the Bible, so that he may see Your glory and Your love for him (Joel 2:28). Let him witness the peace that surpasses all understanding in the life of Your daughter, and may it draw him to You.
Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in powerful ways. Let him see Your hand at work in his life, and let him come to a place of repentance and faith. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of unbelief, every lie of the enemy, and every stronghold that keeps him from surrendering to You. We command the spirit of salvation to come upon him, in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him, convicting him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Let him experience the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:19), and let him be filled with the fullness of God. We pray that he would trust in You with all his heart and lean not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Give him a peace that the world cannot give, a peace that guards his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also pray for Your daughter here. Strengthen her faith and give her wisdom as she navigates this relationship. Help her to stand firm in Your Word and to seek Your will above all else. If this relationship is not of You, give her the courage to walk away, trusting that You have something far better for her. Let her not be bound by emotional ties but be led by Your Spirit. May she be a light to this man, reflecting Your love and truth in all she does.
We declare that salvation is coming to this man’s life. We declare that he will be saved this year, in Jesus’ name. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we trust You to move mightily in his life. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise.
