We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family to our Heavenly Father. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We pray that your husband, adult children, and daughter’s husband would come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, repenting of their sins and surrendering their lives fully to Him. Without Christ, there is no true deliverance, for He alone has the power to break every chain and set the captives free.
Lord God, we declare Psalm 91 over this family, trusting in Your protection and provision. We pray that You would be a shield and fortress around their home, sparing them from the devastation of floods and hurricanes. You are the God who commands the winds and the waves, and we trust in Your sovereign power to keep them safe. "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2).
We also lift up the need for employment for your children. Father, You are the Provider, and we ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Give them wisdom, favor, and diligence in their job searches, and let them find work that honors You and sustains their needs. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
But we must also address the cry of your heart, "Jesus, deliver me from myself." This is a powerful prayer, for often the greatest battle we face is the one within our own hearts. The flesh wars against the Spirit, and we must crucify our sinful desires daily (Galatians 5:17). We pray that you would walk in the Spirit, putting to death the deeds of the flesh, and allowing Christ to live through you. "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me" (Galatians 2:20).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and self-reliance that may be hindering this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every curse and that they are covered by His grace. We stand against the enemy’s schemes to steal, kill, and destroy, for Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Heavenly Father, we pray for unity in this family, that they would be bound together in love and purpose. Help them to encourage one another in the faith and to walk in holiness. May their home be a place of peace, joy, and worship, where Your presence dwells richly. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Lord, we trust You to move mightily in this situation. Strengthen their faith, deepen their dependence on You, and let them see Your hand at work in every area of their lives. May they grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
