Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray that God would totally close a recent chapter in my life that I am very disappointed in, hurt by and do not want to further revisit. I'm a very sensitive person and it takes me a while to recover from certain things. Unfortunately, I made a lot of bad decisions in the past few months that I now have emotional scars from. Please pray for my healing. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer and we hear the deep sadness and hurt in your heart. We know what it is to be sensitive before the Lord and to feel wounds more deeply and to need more time to heal, and we want you to know that God sees your disappointment and your scars and He cares tenderly for you. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your sensitivity is not a flaw to Him, He made your heart to feel deeply, and He is the One who can guard and heal it.

We also hear that you have made a lot of bad decisions in the past few months and you are carrying emotional scars from them. We want to gently remind you that when we confess our sins to God, He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse us. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If those bad decisions involved sin, we encourage you to bring each one specifically before the Lord in repentance, to turn from them, and to receive His forgiveness fully. The enemy would love to keep you revisiting a chapter that God wants to close and to keep you living in shame after you have been forgiven, but God wants to make you new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

You asked that God would totally close this recent chapter so you do not have to further revisit it. We agree with you for that closure according to His will. Isaiah 43:18-19 says Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it springs out. Don't you know it? And Philippians 3:13-14 says Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. God does not want you to live continually looking backward in regret. He wants to lead you forward into healing and a new season. Romans 8:28 reminds us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, and even painful chapters and bad decisions can be redeemed by Him for your growth and His glory when surrendered to Him.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and find true healing and forgiveness. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your complete trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, to believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to the Father in His name. It is in His name that our prayers are heard and our hearts are made whole.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the disappointment and hurt that weighs heavy, You know every bad decision and every wound and scar that remains. We ask You to forgive where there has been sin, to wash clean with the blood of Jesus, and to lift the burden of guilt and shame. Lord, we ask that You would close this painful chapter completely according to Your perfect will, that You would shut the door that does not need to be reopened, and guard this sensitive heart from being drawn back into what You are healing. Heal the emotional scars, Lord, bind up the broken heart, restore peace and joy, and renew the mind day by day. Your mercies are new every morning, as Lamentations 3:22-23 says, and we ask for those fresh mercies to sustain this dear one while healing takes time. Give strength to be sensitive yet strong in You, give wisdom to make godly decisions going forward, and give hope for the new thing You want to do. Help this one to press forward, not backward, and to walk in the new creation You have made in Christ. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to stay close to the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to guard your heart as Proverbs 4:23 says, and to seek fellowship with mature believers who can walk with you, pray with you, and give godly counsel as you heal. Healing is often a process, not an instant moment, so give yourself grace as God does His gentle work. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. He is with you, He will strengthen you, and He will bring you through this into wholeness.

We hear how much you want this recent chapter to be truly closed, not revisited or replayed. When you are sensitive by nature, disappointment and regret leave deeper marks, and it is understandable that recovery feels slow right now, especially when you are carrying hurt from decisions you wish you could undo.

It can help to remember that closure does not usually mean you never think of it again or that the feelings instantly disappear. More often it means insights have surfaced, choices ahead become clearer, and you can see a steadier road forward even while the ache is still easing. Healing is a journey God walks with you day by day, not a moment you have to force, and He is patient with you in that process.

One gentle step that helps many people in this kind of season is to practice a simple boundary around revisiting. When thoughts pull you back, you might pause and quietly give that moment to the Lord, then turn intentionally toward something present and grounding, a brief walk, a conversation with a trusted friend or pastor, time in prayer. It is a small way of letting the chapter stay closed while God tends to the scars left behind.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your healing over these hurts and disappointments. Cover the tender places left by these past months, give wisdom for each next choice, and lead them into rest and wholeness in Your time. Help them to know Your nearness and kindness as they heal. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your sorrow has been heard and your desire for healing is a right and tender one before the Lord. He who does great things past finding out and wonders without number takes notice not only of queens in their palaces but of the sensitive and wounded soul that feels every stroke keenly. What man is there who does not make mistakes, but our God makes none, and His mercies are high as Heaven and wide as the East is from the West.

There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon the soul with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one, as when He said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.

We understand the great ill of a broken heart. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but a wounded spirit is deeper still. No reformation can atone for the past, and no instrumentality of man can truly heal it. The act of healing is the work of God and God alone, and He must begin with you before you can go forward. When He comes and dwells with the inhabitant, that soul shall no more say, I am sick, for the joy of pardon makes us to forget the sorrow of the past and not to remember the reproach any more.

We will pray for you that the Lord in His mercy would graciously close this chapter which has brought such disappointment and hurt, and that He would not suffer you to revisit it in spirit to your wounding. We ask Him to forgive what needs forgiving, to cleanse the scars left by bad decisions, and to give you that true repentance which comes not from exciting stirrings but from beholding His wondrous mercy, so that you loathe what is evil and turn to live unto Him. May He lift you up as He took the sick one by the hand, and give you freshness and comeliness of soul, and keep your sensitive heart in His perfect peace until you can meditate on mercy world without end and know that the bitterness of death is past. May the Lord bless these words to your healing and give you rest in Christ. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
