Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. I hear how heavy this disappointment and hurt have been, and how deeply you feel what you have walked through in these past months. It is right and good to bring these scars before the Lord and ask for His healing.
I join you in prayer that God would graciously close this chapter according to His wisdom and mercy, and that He would heal you and renew your strength. I pray that any godly sorrow you have felt would work in you a repentance that brings no regret, but leads to salvation and peace in Christ, and that you would know His forgiveness and His power to make you whole.
Healing is often like medicine applied faithfully over time. I pray that the Lord will exercise your senses and strengthen your heart through continual hearing of His Word and experience of the Scriptures, so that day by day you grow in discernment, peace and health. Even if you do not comprehend or feel the fruit today, keep receiving His truth tomorrow, trusting that He is at work at the root even when little is seen on the surface. As a physician does not cease treatment while sickness remains, the Lord will not abandon His healing work in you. He is patient, and He is able to restore you fully. Many who have heard many times and seemed to gain little at first have later shown abundant fruit at once, because God was faithfully working through each hearing.
I pray that God will guard your heart from revisiting what He is closing, that He will give you wisdom for the days ahead, and that He will surround you with His comfort and with people who will support you well. May you know deeply that His love covers your past, that He is near to the sensitive and hurting heart, and that He will lead you into wholeness, holiness and lasting joy in Him.
Amen.
