Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray that God would totally close a recent chapter in my life that I am very disappointed in, hurt by and do not want to further revisit. I'm a very sensitive person and it takes me a while to recover from certain things. Unfortunately, I made a lot of bad decisions in the past few months that I now have emotional scars from. Please pray for my healing. Thank you.

We have heard your heart and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, asking Him to bring true closure and deep healing. We understand what it is to be sensitive and to carry emotional scars, and we know that the Lord understands even more, for He sees the heart and He does not despise a broken and contrite spirit. You have been honest about making many bad decisions in the past few months, and we gently and lovingly encourage you to bring those specifically before God in confession and repentance, so that this chapter can be truly closed by His forgiveness and not just by time passing.

The Word tells us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And in Psalm 103:12 we are reminded that as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. When we turn from those decisions and seek His will, He does not hold them over us, but washes us clean. We also cling to the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. This is how God closes a chapter, not by us trying to forget in our own strength, but by making us new.

For the hurt and sensitivity you feel, we pray for the healing that only He can give. Psalm 147:3 says he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He is not distant from your pain, He is near to you in it. We also take comfort in Isaiah 43:18-19 where the Lord says, Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it springs out. Don't you know it. And in Philippians 3:13-14 we are taught to forget the things which are behind, and stretch forward to the things which are before, pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. God does not want you to continually revisit what has brought disappointment and hurt, but to look forward to what He is doing anew, trusting that in Romans 8:28 we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, even using our past mistakes to shape us and teach us when we surrender them to Him.

We noticed your request spoke of God but did not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive this forgiveness and healing. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be healed and to have a chapter truly closed, we must come through Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and to come to God in His name.

We pray together now for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that You see every tear and know every scar. We ask that You would forgive every bad decision that was sin before You, cleanse this heart, and remove the guilt and shame. We ask that You would totally close this recent chapter that has brought such disappointment and hurt, and that You would not allow the enemy to continually bring it back to mind. Heal the emotional wounds, bind up the broken heart, and grant peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7. Give strength to be sensitive yet strong in You, and help to walk forward in newness of life, not looking back, but pressing toward Your high calling. We ask that You would restore joy and hope, and let Your mercies which are new every morning be deeply felt. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, amen.

We've been holding your request before the Lord and we understand why you long for this chapter to be truly closed. When you are sensitive, disappointments cut deeper and the recovery takes longer, and it makes sense you feel scarred by choices you now regret.

We want to encourage you that wanting closure does not mean you failed. Closure rarely means everything feels tidy or that memories never surface again. More often it means the Lord helps you see clearly what happened, what you have learned, and what faithful next step is yours to take, and then gives you grace to walk forward one day at a time. Healing tends to be a journey rather than a single moment, and God is patient with you in that process.

One gentle step that helps many sensitive hearts is to give those revisiting thoughts a place to go. When the memory or regret rises, pause and quietly entrust that chapter again to Jesus in a brief prayer, then turn your attention to something present and life giving for the next hour. If you can, share this walk with one trusted pastor or counselor who can check in as you heal.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus name. You see this hurt and disappointment and the scars left behind. Please cover what needs to be closed, bring Your healing in Your timing, and give peace and wisdom for each day ahead. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and we carry it with you to the throne of grace. You speak of a chapter marked by disappointment and hurt, of bad decisions which have left emotional scars, and of a sensitive heart that recovers slowly. We do not take this lightly, for we know there is a great ill which many carry, a broken heart, and there is a great healing provided for it.

The Lord is He who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but the wounds of the spirit are deeper and none can heal them but God alone. You value rightly that you cannot heal yourself. A real saving work is the work of God, and God alone. Yet what mercy there is in this, for He does great things past finding out, yes, and wonders without number. His mercies are high as Heaven, and wide as the East is from the West. Though you feel forgotten or overlooked, God takes notice of beggars as well as of queens, and He has taken notice of your sorrow.

There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. Pardon and healing are one. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. So we find that the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, and in another sense, I have been sick, for the joy of pardon makes us forget the sorrow of the past. You shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more. If your heart now meditates terror, viewing what is past and gone, how much more may you muse on mercy, world without end, viewing it as forever your own through Christ.

We know also that we all make mistakes, and therefore we imagine that God does the same, but He makes none. What has wounded you, though done through your own bad decisions, is not beyond His healing hand. Do not think repentance must be some intense anguish which you must work up in yourself. Repentance is produced in the heart by a sight of wondrous mercy. When we see what Christ has done, we are ashamed of former sins and loathe our past iniquities and turn to Him. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy.

Our prayer for you is this.

O Lord, our God, who healest the brokenhearted, look upon this sensitive and wounded soul. Thou knowest the chapter that has caused such disappointment and hurt, and the scars that remain from past decisions. We ask Thee to forgive what is sinful through the blood of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other. Grant true repentance and full pardon, and let pardon bring healing. Lift up this one who has been prostrated, as Thou didst take by the hand and lift up her that lay sick of a fever, and let there be a contact of faith with Christ. Let the healing leaves of the tree of life be applied to this heart, that the life blood may be changed and the spirits restored. Close this chapter in Thy mercy, so that it need not be revisited with terror, and give grace to meditate upon mercy rather than upon sorrow. Let this dear one not say, I am sick, but know that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Keep this heart near Thy Word, for faith comes by hearing, and healing is present when Christ is taught. Make this trial to be a healing that prepares for future service, for healing must come before serving. Do great things past our finding out, according to Thy wonders without number. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope. Amen.
