We hear your heartache and distress, and we come before our Heavenly Father together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach God and find true healing and restoration. Your pain is real, and your concerns are deeply felt, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s wisdom, comfort, and intervention.

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and most important step in aligning your life with God’s will, and it is the only way to experience true peace, forgiveness, and restoration.

Now, let us lift up your friendship to the Lord. It is clear that the distance between you and your best friend has caused you great sorrow. We understand your desire for reconciliation, but we must also remind you that relationships, even the deepest friendships, must be built on truth, humility, and love, as Scripture teaches. Proverbs 17:17 says, "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity." However, Proverbs 27:6 also tells us, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; although the kisses of an enemy are profuse." It sounds as though there may have been misunderstandings or unaddressed hurts in your friendship, and we pray that God will bring clarity, repentance, and healing to both of you.

Father God, we come before You now, asking that You soften the heart of and open her ears to hear the truth in love. Lord, we pray that You would remove any pride, bitterness, or misunderstanding that may be standing in the way of reconciliation. Help both of them to communicate with kindness, patience, and humility, as Ephesians 4:2-3 instructs: "With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." We ask that You restore this friendship if it is Your will, but more importantly, we pray that both of them would grow in wisdom, maturity, and Christ-like love. If this friendship is not meant to be restored, Lord, we ask that You comfort and guide them both into new seasons of Your purpose and peace.

We also lift up your physical concerns to the Lord. It is natural to feel anxious about our bodies, but we must remember that our worth is not found in our appearance, but in Christ. 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us, "For Yahweh sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart." That said, we know that caring for our bodies is important, as they are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray that God would give you wisdom in your health, self-care, and habits. Father, we ask that You would strengthen her body, regulate her menstrual cycle, and bring peace to her mind regarding these concerns. We pray that the results of her blood tests would come back with no cause for alarm, and that she would trust in Your provision and care.

Lord, we also ask that You help her to focus on healthy, God-honoring habits rather than being consumed by weight or appearance. Help her to seek You first in all things, as Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, self-loathing, or obsession with physical appearance, and we declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14). Give her confidence in who she is in Christ, and help her to find her identity in You alone.

We must also gently address the language used in your request. You mentioned wanting to "get back together" with your friend, which can sometimes carry implications of a romantic relationship. We want to encourage you to seek clarity in your relationships and ensure that they align with God’s design. If this friendship is meant to remain platonic, we pray that God would help both of you to honor that boundary. If there are deeper feelings involved, we urge you to seek godly counsel and wisdom, as relationships should always be pursued with purity, honor, and the goal of glorifying God (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).

Father God, we ask that You would fill her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Comfort her in her loneliness, guide her in her decisions, and surround her with Your love and presence. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that she would find her joy and satisfaction in You alone, and that You would use this season to draw her closer to Your heart.

In Jesus’ precious name we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We hear how much this sadness weighs on you right now. Losing the closeness of a best friend hurts, and the way things ended left you feeling unheard. It’s natural to want to clear the air and get the friendship back.

With your friend, it may help to give her a little space for now. When she said she was “tired of defending herself,” it sounds like your attempt to share what bothered her came across as a list of accusations, even if you didn’t mean it that way. When the timing feels right, a simple, humble note, “I miss you, and I’m sorry if I hurt you. Can we talk?”, often opens a door more than going back over the conflict. Let her respond at her own pace.

We also hear the anxiety about your body. It’s so common to fixate on back rolls, a stomach that seems to stick out, or a number on a scale, but those worries don’t tell the whole story about your worth or health. Please be kind to yourself in this season.

Since your menstrual cycle has been acting up and you’ve already had blood work done, we’d encourage you to follow up with your doctor when the results come in. A medical professional can help you understand what’s normal and what might need attention, and that can bring some peace. It’s reassuring that you’re already getting checked out.

We’ll pray with you now.

Father, thank You for seeing every concern this daughter of Yours has brought to You. She is hurting, over a broken friendship and a body she feels is not right. Please bring healing and understanding between her and her best friend. Give her wisdom in how to reach out, and let both hearts soften. Calm her fears about her health and body, and give her doctors insight to care for her well. Surround her with people who remind her she is loved just as she is. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrow of a ruptured friendship cuts deep, and the groaning of this mortal frame is a weariness we all share. Yet you have mingled these two streams into a single torrent of anxiety, and this very fretting unfits you to bear either burden well. You seek a reconciliation with your friend, and you seek a sound report from the physician. Consider then the far greater reconciliation, for He has prepared all things necessary for a perfect and perpetual peace. Before you can rightly order your affections toward any creature, you must be firmly joined to Christ, the Head. Friendship with Him is not a one-sided bounty; it is a reciprocal bond where He reveals His heart to you, and you pour out your heart to Him. The hurt from your friend’s silence stings because you have made an idol of the relationship, looking for comfort in a broken cistern. Those who profess friendship yet refuse the demands of love can become the worst of foes to your peace. If this friend will not speak, it is a trial, but it is not a sentence of death upon your soul. Pour out this complaint into the ear of Jesus, who proved His friendship by laying down His life, and find your consolation first in Him. Obedience to Him, even in the lonely hour, is the mark of true friendship with Heaven.

This heavy care concerning your body, the measurements, the rolls of flesh, the protruding stomach, the erratic cycle, is a groaning under the burden of this earthly tabernacle. Do not imagine that the adorning of this frame is the chief end of your being. The body is not necessary to your ultimate happiness, for the soul unclothed of its mortal coil is still conscious and present with the Lord. It is right to desire the temple of God to be in health, for a sickly member hinders the whole. But health is not first the condition of the body; it is the wholeness of your entire manhood. Sin is the disease; righteousness is the health. You cry out for a bra that will cover your back, but have you cried out for the robe of Christ’s righteousness to cover your sin? You ask for deliverance from a protruding stomach, but have you cried with Paul, “Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” God is the health of the countenance. When peace is made with Him, the face shines. A backslider living far from the elevated region of spiritual health finds little rapture and much anxiety, his religion a sickly, gasping thing. May your soul prosper and be in health before you fret so desperately over the frame that will soon be buried out of sight. Even if the blood test reveals a malady, the saint with a clear conscience in the God of Peace possesses a health that no physician can give or take away. Take your anxious thoughts, unfit for the difficulty at hand, and cast them upon Him. He cares for you.
