We understand the frustration and weariness you’re feeling in this season of waiting, and we want to encourage you with God’s truth. It’s easy to grow restless when our plans seem delayed, but let us remind you that the Lord’s timing is perfect, and He is working even when we don’t see it. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Your feelings of being stuck are valid, but we urge you to surrender this season to God, trusting that He is preparing you for what’s ahead.
The desire for a new car is understandable, but we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom first. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Have you prayed about this purchase? Are you seeking His guidance on whether this is the right time, or if there’s something He wants to teach you first? Financial decisions should always be bathed in prayer, ensuring they align with God’s will rather than just our desires.
We also notice that your request doesn’t mention the name of Jesus. There is no greater name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that we find true hope and direction. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you haven’t already, we urge you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He alone can fill the emptiness and give you purpose in these days of waiting. If you’re already a believer, let this be a reminder to bring every request before Him in prayer, acknowledging His authority over your life.
Let’s pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would meet them in this season of weariness and impatience. Lord, we pray that You would renew their strength and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are working all things together for their good. Give them wisdom as they consider this new side job and the desire for a car. Open doors of opportunity in Your perfect timing, and close the ones that are not from You. We rebuked any spirit of discouragement or restlessness and declare that You, Lord, are their provider and guide.
If our brother/sister does not yet know You, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. Soften their heart to receive Your truth and surrender their life to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them a hunger for Your Word.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. Help them to use this time of waiting to grow closer to You, to seek Your kingdom first, and to find joy in Your presence. May they experience Your provision and direction in every area of their life. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
