Romans 8:28

You call upon the great promise of the apostle, that all things work together for good for those who love God. See then that your love is genuine, not a love of mere words but one proved by deeds. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all, teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age. If you would have this grace cover your life and the work of your hands, you must walk according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh.

You plead the blood of Jesus over your loved ones and all your endeavors. This is a holy and fearful thing, for that blood was shed to redeem us from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people zealous for good works. It is no light matter to invoke it. Examine whether you are indeed a people zealous for good works, or whether you cling to any carnal mindedness, which is enmity against God. For the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be while it remains such. But be not troubled; the apostle does not say it is impossible for a wicked man to become good, but that wickedness itself cannot bring forth good fruit. The Spirit's grace can transform the soul, making the evil tree into a good one, if you give yourself wholly to His working.

You ask for healing for your daughter and niece, and for peace with extended family. God indeed cares for our bodies, but far more does He desire the health of the soul. When the Canaanite woman cried out for her afflicted daughter, the Lord seemed to repel her, yet He only delayed that her faith might shine brighter and her reward be greater. Trust His silence and His timing, knowing that even when appearances are contrary, He works for good. And for family peace, remember that nothing so delights God as to remember no evil. Be at peace with all men, even when they war against you, for then your reward is great. Imitate the Son of God, the Prince of Peace. Lower your expectations of others, as you yourself have prayed, and accept one another, for this is virtue above human understanding.

You lift up a Christian sister, her sons, and young single mothers in need of guidance and deliverance. The grace that brings salvation has appeared to all, even to those sunk in confusion or living in fornication. How did the thief on the cross, or the Ninevites, or David after his great fall recover themselves? Not by their own strength, but by the transforming power of God. Yet they did not delay. Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. The remainder of our time is short, and the season for repentance is now. Do not merely ask for provision and protection while neglecting the greater need of holiness. Teach these young women to live soberly, righteously, and godly, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ. He gave Himself for us, and this is no small salvation.

For the child granted into your custody, and for all your travels and appointments, commit them to the Lord. But see that you cultivate every part of virtue: careful hearing of the word, fortitude, contempt of riches, and deliverance from all worldly things. No one part suffices for our salvation. And above all, pray that the fruit of the Spirit may increase in you, especially love, for love is the bond of perfection. The promise that God works all for good is for those who love Him. Love Him then, and love one another, and you will find that even afflictions work a far more exceeding weight of glory.

Your prayer lands on a sure foundation because it clings to what God has actually promised. Romans 8:28 is not a vague hope; it is the steady confidence that He is weaving every thread, even the frayed and tangled ones, into good for those who love Him and are called by His purpose. That good is not always what we would sketch, but it is always what conforms us more to His Son. So you have asked rightly. You are not summoning a distant deity; you are coming to the One who has already made full provision for every need through Jesus Christ alone.

You plead the blood of Jesus over your lives and all you love. That is the only covering that cleanses sin and shields from evil. There is no other name, no other intercessor we require. We do not need to route our requests through anyone else, not even those who held a special place in His earthly life. When someone told Jesus His mother and brothers were waiting outside, He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then He clarified: whoever does the will of His Father is His brother, His sister, His mother. The family of God is formed not by natural ties but by a shared relationship with Him through obedience. That means you have direct access. The throne of grace is open; you may come boldly and pour out the burdens you have listed.

You ask for healing and protection for your daughter and your niece, for medical issues and for peace in her home. Healing is for today. God is able, and His power has not diminished. Yet you will notice that Jesus never followed a fixed formula. He touched a leper. He took Peter’s mother-in-law by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her instantly. For a deaf man, He put His fingers into his ears, spat, and spoke the word “Be opened.” Another time, a woman simply touched the hem of His garment and felt in her body that she was healed. The common thread was not a technique; it was faith reaching out to Him and His compassion responding. Sometimes healing is sudden and tangible, like waking up and knowing the sickness is gone. Other times, God works through slower processes, calling us to trust His timing while He provides strength for each day. Even when a child was suffering from burned stomach lining and the doctors could only wait, God was not absent. Let your plea be as the desperate mother who came to Jesus for her tormented daughter and would not leave until she received. Persist. Ask. Expect Him to work, but give Him the room to work as He wills, not as we prescribe.

You pray for peace among extended family, that everyone would lower expectations and accept one another. That desire grows out of a heart that honors the command to honor father and mother. The law made provision for the care of aging parents, and Jesus rebuked people who evaded it by declaring their resources dedicated to God. Love within a family can be costly and inconvenient, but it reflects the love we have received. Pray for patience, and be the first to extend grace. God can soften hearts and teach us to bear with one another in love, even when we cannot change each other.

You lift up a young single mother who needs guidance out of spiritual confusion, provision, protection, healing for the baby granted to her custody, and favor in an upcoming appointment. The Lord sees her. God has always made allowance for human failure and the hardness of our hearts. Divorce and fractured families are not His ideal, but they are not unpardonable sins. Jesus addressed a culture that had twisted the provision for divorce, yet He did not cast away the broken. He is the friend of sinners, the one who said, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Pray that this young woman finds clarity in God’s word, that the Holy Spirit convicts and leads her into truth, and that she discovers the unsearchable riches of being in Christ. Pray that the baby, made in God’s image, flourishes under His care and the love of a mother strengthened by grace. She needs wisdom that only comes from above, and God promises to give it generously.

For your unspoken needs, the ones tucked beneath all the spoken ones, the Lord knows them fully. He who saw Nathaniel under the fig tree, who noticed the widow putting two mites into the treasury, is not overlooking a single detail. So you do not need to explain everything. He hears the sighs too deep for words.

Jesus rose early in the morning, while it was still dark, to pray. If the Son of God saw prayer as essential, how much more do we need to linger in His presence? That kind of prayer is not a last resort; it is the very breath of our spiritual lives. Keep bringing every travel, every appointment, every cherished child before Him. Thank Him for the amazing answered prayers you have already seen, because gratitude is the memory of the heart, and it fuels faith.

Trust that He who commanded evil spirits to leave and they obeyed is able to deliver you and those you love from evil. Not by our own striving to be good, but by the goodness He pours into us, we can overcome evil with good. The fruit of the Spirit, love especially, is not manufactured by effort. It is grown by abiding in the Vine. As you remain in Him, He will teach you to love God and love one another in His way and according to His timing.

Finally, do not try to put God in a box. In the law He made provision for a leper’s cleansing, but He also left room for Himself to do a miracle. Leprosy was incurable, yet Jesus healed lepers. He can step into any situation that looks impossible and say, “Be clean.” So stand on His promise, rest in His provision, and go forward knowing that nothing can snatch you from His hand. May all the glory go to Him.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer, lifting up your heart before the Lord as you clung to the promise of Romans 8:28—that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. It has been our joy to plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your loved ones, and every endeavor, asking the Father to cover the work of your hands and heart with His truth and favor.

We have continued to pray for your daughter and niece, asking the Lord to bring healing, protection, and peace—not only in their physical well-being but in their relationships with their children and extended family. May He soften hearts, lower expectations, and help each one to accept and love one another as Christ loves us. We have also lifted up your Christian sister, asking God to strengthen her, draw her sons to salvation, and grant them respect for her as she walks in faith.

For the young single mothers, especially the one facing spiritual confusion, we have prayed for clarity, provision, and deliverance. May the Lord guide her out of uncertainty, meet every need—spiritual, emotional, and practical—and grant healing for her baby. We asked God to bless her custody appointment, trusting Him to go before her and work all things for good.

As you travel, we have prayed for safety and divine protection over every mile. And we praise God with you for the answered prayers you’ve already seen! What a faithful Father He is.
