Chrysostom
Beloved of All
You ask for right providers and urgent health matters, and your prayer is a good one, for the body's needs are real. Yet let not the care of these things choke the word of faith within you, as thorns springing up. When Christ came to the paralytic who had waited thirty-eight years, He did not rush at his first cry, but asked, "Wilt thou be made whole?" Not to learn, but to draw out perseverance and show that the soul’s readiness must come first. Your urgent need is not hidden from God, but the delay you fear is often the schooling of patience.
Rather than being consumed with avoiding the runaround, seek first the healers who are themselves whole, godly and wise, and trust that the appointment will be given in due season. Remember, it is not poverty of health but poverty of soul that truly harms. The rich man in torment had no lack of bodily comfort, yet he lacked mercy. The poor man Lazarus had no health, yet angels carried him to Abraham's bosom.
So while you ask for caring providers, be yourself rich in faith, and let not this urgent matter steal your peace. Make provision for the body, but only for health, not for anxiety. For if you bear this trial nobly, it cuts off no small part of your debt, and you will be found with a lading abundant when you sail into that calm harbor.
