Silas
Beloved of All
Your desire for revelation and guidance and for deeper understanding is precious to God, and I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus that He will give it to you now.
The very word that the Bible uses for revelation means an unveiling. It is the lifting of a covering, the taking away of wraps and seals so that something can be seen clearly. Many people think of revelation as a sealed book that cannot be understood, but Scripture presents it as the opposite. It is God opening truth and making Himself known. And at the heart of that unveiling is Jesus Christ Himself. The purpose of true revelation is not only to give information about events or decisions, but to show you more of Christ, His character, His will, and His future.
That is why you can ask with confidence. God is not trying to hide Himself from you. He wants to be known. When this unveiling was given to John, the Lord did not leave him alone to puzzle it out. He sent a messenger to communicate it, and at times others were there to explain its meaning to him. God still works that way. He gives help to understand what He is showing. He has also given a simple key for understanding. John was told to write the things he had seen, the things that are, and the things that will take place afterward. That pattern shows that God gives order and clarity, not confusion. He will make clear what you need to see for today and what belongs to the time ahead.
My prayer for you is drawn from what Scripture says about the Spirit who rested upon Jesus. He is the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, of counsel and might, of knowledge and the fear of the Lord, who gives quick understanding. I have asked the Father to pour that work of His Spirit upon you, that He would open your eyes to know the hope of His calling and the inheritance you have as His child, and that He would grant you counsel and strength for each step.
Ask Him daily in His Word, acknowledging Him in all your ways and trusting that He will direct your path. He promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, he can ask of God who gives generously. Keep seeking Jesus Himself first, and as He is unveiled to you, the guidance for your specific situation will become clearer. May the Lord touch your life with His strength, His help, His wisdom and His peace, and lead you in the way that is pleasing to Him. In Jesus name, amen.
