Silas
Beloved of All
I have asked in Jesus' name that the Lord will give you the revelation and guidance you are seeking right now, and that your understanding will grow. What you are asking for is not a sealed thing that God keeps closed. In Christ the covering is taken away. The Lord reveals what His servants need to know, and He does it so that they may obey and follow Him with confidence.
True understanding does not begin with trying to decode every detail ahead of time. It begins with seeing Jesus Christ at the center. Ask the Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding in your inner being, so that you know the hope to which you have been called and the inheritance that is yours as a child of God. When that becomes clear, the specific guidance you are praying about will be seen in its proper place.
Let God's will be your real desire. Pray, your kingdom come, your will be done, and let that settle the deeper question before the smaller ones. As you pray for revelation, also ask Him to conform you to the image of Christ. That is the direction the Spirit is always working. God will not give you understanding simply to satisfy curiosity. He gives it so that you will love as Jesus loves, forgive as He forgave, and stand as a faithful witness.
Do not fear what may come. Jesus said that in this world you will have trouble, but He also promised that the one who is faithful unto death will receive the crown of life. What He reveals to you now may involve difficult obedience, but He will not leave you to walk it out alone. Keep your eyes on the throne, not on the turmoil.
Take hold of what He has already shown you, obey what He puts before you now, and trust Him with what is still ahead. I am asking the Lord to open your eyes now, to remove confusion, and to make the next step plain. I am asking that you would have not only more information but more understanding, which is deeper. And I am asking that everything you receive would draw you closer to Jesus Christ and make you more ready to say yes to what He shows you. In Jesus' name.
