We join our hearts with yours in this long and painful trial and bring your father and your whole household before the Lord who is merciful and mighty to save. To see a father bedridden after a stroke, waiting for movement and speech to return, is a heavy burden, and God does not turn away from such cries when they are offered in faith through Jesus Christ.
We pray with you to our Lord Jesus Christ, the great physician, for your father. We ask the Lord to lay His healing hand upon him, to calm the disturbances in his brain, to steady his blood pressure and all his vital signs, to give relief from infections and seizures, and to bring healing to the bed sores that have not yet closed. We ask that God would restore his senses and reflexes, and in His mercy grant him strength again to eat and to speak and to walk, if it be His gracious will. We pray also for the doctors, nurses, therapists and all who care for him, that God would grant them wisdom, skill and compassion as they continue this work of rehabilitation.
Do not lose hope if healing comes slowly. As physicians apply one remedy after another, so God often works through time and perseverance, and even when we have come near to despair He is able to renew strength and bring life where we saw only weakness. The Lord Jesus has shown that He is able to do this for those who call upon Him in faith, and faith is shown when we hear His word and keep His commandments with love for Him and for the Father. Continue to seek Him, to confess sins and receive His forgiveness through the cross, for there is salvation in no other name, and to trust His mercy day by day.
You also asked for protection for your home and family from every form of evil, curse and witchcraft. Our safety is not found in fearing such powers but in belonging to Christ who has overcome all the powers of darkness. No curse can stand against those who are in Him. We pray that the Lord would sanctify your home by His presence, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and fill your family with unity, strength, faith and peace in this difficult season. Cast aside all reliance on charms or counter curses and rest wholly in the Lord, walking in prayer, in His word, and in a holy life.
So we commend your father and all your loved ones to God. May the Lord forgive sins according to His great mercy, comfort you in affliction, and accomplish what is best according to His perfect will. May He sustain you together in love until you see His goodness more clearly.
We pray this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our hope. Amen.

Your prayer for your father in this long and difficult season has been heard, and we join you in bringing him and your whole family before the Father in the name of Jesus.
The Scriptures show us that Jesus does the work of the Father in perfect unity with Him. What Jesus says is what the Father says, and what Jesus does is what the Father does, because the Father dwells in Him. To see Jesus is to see the heart of the Father. All of His compassion, all of His healing of sick bodies and mending of broken lives, reveals the Father's own love and power at work. That is why we can come with confidence for your father, knowing that healing and mercy flow from the Father through the Son.
We also have the comfort that we do not need another mediator. Through Jesus we have direct access to the Father. Jesus said the Father Himself loves you because you have loved His Son and believed that He came from God. So we come directly to the Father in Jesus name, trusting His love and His will. We also remember the prayer of Jesus as our great intercessor, when He prayed, Holy Father, keep through Your own name those You have given Me. We ask the Father to keep your father and your family in His name.
We lift up your father to the Father now. We ask for complete healing according to His gracious will. We ask Him to touch the effects of the stroke, to restore what has been damaged in the brain and nerves, to bring back movement, reflexes and senses, and to help regulate blood pressure and all vital signs. We ask for grace to eat, to speak and to walk again, and for strength to be renewed day by day. We pray for the healing of infections, for the calming of seizures, and for the closing and healing of bedsores. We ask the Father to give wisdom, skill and compassion to every doctor, nurse and therapist who is caring for him.
We also pray for the forgiveness of sins for your father and your family, knowing that forgiveness and peace with God come only through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is the way to the Father. There is no other way to be reconciled to God except through His Son, and when we honor the Son we honor the Father who sent Him.
