We have received your prayer for your father and your family and we join you in lifting them up to our Lord Jesus Christ, the true physician of soul and body.
We pray for your father who has been bedridden since his brain stroke surgery. We ask the Lord in His mercy to touch his body, to ease what afflicts his nerves and brain, to steady his blood pressure and all his vital signs, and to grant healing to his infections, seizures and bedsores according to His gracious will. We ask that God would restore strength to him day by day, that He would help him to eat, to speak and to walk again if it be His will, and to renew his senses and reflexes. We remember the promise of Christ who asked, Believe that I am able to do this, and we trust that what is impossible for us is possible for Him.
We pray also for the doctors, nurses and all who care for him, that God would give them wisdom, skill and compassion as they continue their work.
We pray for the forgiveness of sins for your father and for your whole family, trusting not in our own merit but in the mercy of Jesus Christ alone, who suffered to make us sons and daughters of God and who alone brings us to the Father.
We pray for your household in this difficult time. We ask the Lord to guard your home and to fill it with His peace, to strengthen your family with unity, faith and endurance, and to keep you close to Him in prayer and in hearing His word. In Christ we need not fear any curse or dark power, for He has overcome all such things and those who are in Him are safe in His hand. We ask Him to sanctify your home by His presence and to keep you from all evil, giving you confidence not in any other protection but in Him.
We will continue to remember you, your father and your family before the throne of grace, asking God to show His love and healing power and to grant you all peace in Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray.
