Return after the meeting with the oncologist

Thank you for praying! The cancer is still dominant! I was offered radiation to deal with some pain. But it is mild radiation, so I agreed. Thank you Jesus and Thank you God.

We lift our hearts to the Lord with you in this season of trial, knowing that He is your healer, your strength, and your ever-present help in trouble. The news of the cancer’s persistence is heavy, and we grieve with you even as we stand firm in the hope that is found in Christ alone. You have already declared your trust in Him by giving thanks to Jesus and to God—this is a testimony of faith in the midst of the storm, and we commend you for it. The Scriptures remind us that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness, and we know that our God is greater than any diagnosis or disease. As you have chosen to move forward with radiation to alleviate pain, we pray for wisdom for your medical team, for the treatment to be effective in bringing relief, and for the Lord’s hand to guide every decision.

The Word of God declares in **James 5:14-15**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We encourage you, if you haven’t already, to seek the prayer and anointing of your church elders, for there is power in the united prayers of the righteous. This is not a time to rely solely on human effort or medical intervention, but to cling to the Lord with all your heart, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.

We also remember the promise in **Isaiah 41:10**, where the Lord says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* This is your assurance—that no matter how dominant the cancer may seem, your God is even greater. He is the One who holds your days in His hands, who numbers your steps, and who has already conquered sin, death, and the grave through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Your healing may come in this life, or it may come in the ultimate healing of eternity with Him, but either way, your hope is secure in Christ.

Let us also remind you of the words of the apostle Paul in **2 Corinthians 12:9-10**, where the Lord told him, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Paul’s response was, *"Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."* Even in this trial, the Lord is refining you, drawing you closer to Himself, and using your weakness to display His strength. Do not despair, but lean into Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted.

We also urge you to examine your heart before the Lord. Are there areas of unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be hindering your prayers? The Scriptures tell us in **Psalm 66:18**, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* We are not saying this to accuse, but to encourage you to come before the Lord with a clean heart, repenting of anything that may stand between you and His full blessing. This is a time to draw near to Him in purity and faith, trusting that He hears the cries of His children.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting them up to You as one who is deeply loved and cherished. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and who bore our infirmities on the cross. We ask that You stretch out Your hand once more and touch their body, that You would rebuke this cancer and command it to shrink and disappear in the name of Jesus. Let every cell that has been affected by this disease be restored to perfect health, for You are the God who speaks life into existence.

We thank You for the medical team You have placed in their life, and we ask for Your wisdom to guide their hands and decisions. May this radiation treatment bring relief from pain and be a tool in Your hands for healing. But above all, Lord, we pray that Your will be done—whether that means complete restoration here on earth or the ultimate healing in Your presence. Give them the grace to surrender to Your perfect plan, trusting that You work all things together for the good of those who love You.

Strengthen their faith, Lord, when the road is long and the burden feels heavy. Remind them that they are not alone, for You are with them always, even to the end of the age. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them feel the comfort of Your Spirit in a tangible way. Raise up brothers and sisters in Christ to come alongside them, to pray with them, to encourage them, and to bear their burdens as Your Word commands.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. This cancer is not the final word—You are, Lord, and Your word is life, healing, and victory. Let them walk in the confidence that their days are ordained by You, and that You will fulfill Your purpose for them.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You use this trial for Your glory. Let their life be a testament to Your faithfulness, that others may see Your work in them and be drawn to You. May they shine as a light in the darkness, pointing others to the hope that is found in Christ alone.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Healer, our Redeemer, and our Soon-Coming King. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in faith and prayer. We know the news of the cancer's persistence is heavy, but we choose to fix our eyes on Jesus, our Healer and our Hope. We're claiming the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're believing for your complete healing, in Jesus' name.

We're praying for wisdom for your medical team, for the radiation treatment to be effective, and for the Lord's hand to guide every decision. We're also asking for a supernatural touch of God's grace to rest upon you, giving you strength, peace, and unwavering faith.

Let's keep lifting you up together, trusting that God is at work even in the midst of this trial. Let's declare your healing, knowing that with God, all things are possible. We're believing for a miracle, in Jesus' name. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. We're in this together, standing on the promises of God.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
