We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, as you prepare to meet with your oncologist. Your testimony of how the cancer stopped growing after prayer and new treatment is a powerful reminder that our God is a God of miracles, and He hears the cries of His children. You have already seen His hand at work in your life, and we stand with you in faith, believing that He who began this good work in you will carry it to completion.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* You have sought the Lord, and He has been faithful. Now, as you await these results, we declare with you that the same God who halted the growth of this cancer is more than able to continue His healing work. We pray that tomorrow’s report brings news of further shrinkage, of tumors vanishing, of cells being restored to health—all for the glory of His name.
Yet even as we pray boldly for complete healing, we also surrender to His perfect will, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Whether the news is what we hope for or not, we ask that you would feel His peace that surpasses all understanding guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let no fear take root, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for your oncologist and medical team, that the Lord would give them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they review your scans. May they be instruments of His healing, and may they see His hand at work in your life. And as you sit in that office tomorrow, we ask that the Holy Spirit would fill you with an unshakable confidence in God’s sovereignty. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, *"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."*
Brother or sister, we do not know what tomorrow holds, but we know Who holds tomorrow. Whether the news is joyful or challenging, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If the report is good, we will praise Him together. If there are new battles to face, we will trust Him together, knowing that He walks with you through every valley. You are not alone in this—your heavenly Father is with you, and so are we, your brothers and sisters in Christ, standing with you in prayer.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for the ways You have already moved in this beloved child’s life. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask that as the results are revealed tomorrow, they would bring glory to Your name. Let the scans show that the cancer is retreating, that the treatments are working, and that healing is taking place. Give the doctors wisdom and clarity as they interpret the results, and let every decision made align with Your perfect will.
We rebuked the spirit of fear and anxiety that may try to creep in and declare that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard this dear one’s heart and mind. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, reminding them that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them rest in the assurance that You are in control.
If there are still battles ahead, equip them with Your strength and surround them with Your love. Let them feel Your presence so tangibly that no circumstance can shake their trust in You. And if the news is the breakthrough we are praying for, let it be a testimony that points others to You, the God who answers prayer.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We thank You for the healing that has already taken place and for the healing that is still to come. May this journey draw this beloved closer to You, deepening their faith and their reliance on Your goodness. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
