We hear your deep frustration and sense of injustice, and we stand with you in bringing this before the Lord. Retaliation, deception, and manipulation are not of God, He is a God of truth, justice, and righteousness. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Dearly beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" We trust that the Lord sees every wrong done to you and will bring justice in His perfect timing.
We also recognize that this situation has likely caused you stress, anxiety, and even anger. Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." While your feelings are valid, we encourage you to release this burden to the Lord and guard your heart against bitterness. Bitterness only harms you, not those who have wronged you.
We must also address the way you’ve framed this request. While we understand your desire for justice, we want to gently remind you that our prayers should always align with God’s will and be offered in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Jesus is our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through Him alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We pray that you would find peace and strength in Him as you navigate this difficult situation.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the injustice and the wrongdoing that has been done. We ask that You would intervene and bring Your perfect justice to this matter. Father, we trust in Your promise that vengeance belongs to You, and we release this burden into Your hands. We pray that You would protect and provide for this individual, giving them peace and clarity as they wait on You.
Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those who have acted in retaliation. If there is any unrighteousness in their actions, we pray that You would convict them and lead them to repentance. Father, we also ask that You would guard this person’s heart against bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness. Help them to release these burdens to You and to walk in Your peace.
We pray for wisdom and guidance in how to proceed. Give them discernment in their interactions with this insurance company and any other parties involved. Provide them with the resources and support they need to navigate this situation. Lord, we ask that You would restore what has been lost and bring healing to any harm that has been done.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our advocate and mediator before You. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom from trusted believers who can help you navigate this situation. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." You do not have to face this alone, lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ for support and guidance.
Lastly, remember that God is your defender. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will bring justice and restoration in His perfect way and timing.
