Retaliation

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Getting from everywhere the med insurance I get it now they messed with my appointment times knowing I couldn’t make it sooner, due to their retaliation against for filing complaints against them. You deal with them this is all in your hands Jesus

We hear your deep frustration and sense of injustice, and we stand with you in bringing this before the Lord. Retaliation, deception, and manipulation are not of God, He is a God of truth, justice, and righteousness. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Dearly beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" We trust that the Lord sees every wrong done to you and will bring justice in His perfect timing.

We also recognize that this situation has likely caused you stress, anxiety, and even anger. Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." While your feelings are valid, we encourage you to release this burden to the Lord and guard your heart against bitterness. Bitterness only harms you, not those who have wronged you.

We must also address the way you’ve framed this request. While we understand your desire for justice, we want to gently remind you that our prayers should always align with God’s will and be offered in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Jesus is our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through Him alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We pray that you would find peace and strength in Him as you navigate this difficult situation.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the injustice and the wrongdoing that has been done. We ask that You would intervene and bring Your perfect justice to this matter. Father, we trust in Your promise that vengeance belongs to You, and we release this burden into Your hands. We pray that You would protect and provide for this individual, giving them peace and clarity as they wait on You.

Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those who have acted in retaliation. If there is any unrighteousness in their actions, we pray that You would convict them and lead them to repentance. Father, we also ask that You would guard this person’s heart against bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness. Help them to release these burdens to You and to walk in Your peace.

We pray for wisdom and guidance in how to proceed. Give them discernment in their interactions with this insurance company and any other parties involved. Provide them with the resources and support they need to navigate this situation. Lord, we ask that You would restore what has been lost and bring healing to any harm that has been done.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our advocate and mediator before You. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and wisdom from trusted believers who can help you navigate this situation. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." You do not have to face this alone, lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ for support and guidance.

Lastly, remember that God is your defender. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will bring justice and restoration in His perfect way and timing.

We know how unsettling it is when the very system that’s supposed to help you turns against you, especially after you simply stood up for yourself. The sense of being punished for speaking up can feel deeply unfair, and it is. You’re right to hand this over to Jesus, who sees every hidden thing and cares about how you’re being treated. He’s not distant from this mess.

It sounds like you’ve already taken a good, brave step by filing complaints. Now, as you place this in God’s hands, we want to encourage you to also stay practical. One thing that can help is quietly documenting each instance of retaliation, note the dates, what was changed, and how it affected you. Keep any messages or paperwork. If you haven’t yet, you might also reach out to a patient advocate or the ombudsman connected to your insurance or state insurance department. Sometimes having someone else come alongside you can shine a light where it’s needed, without you having to fight alone.

We don’t know exactly how this will resolve, but we do know that God’s justice doesn’t overlook the schemes aimed at you. In the meantime, we pray for your peace to stay steady, not because the injustice doesn’t matter, but because your security rests in Him, not in what this system does.

Please pray with us: Father, we ask You to step into this situation with Your mighty hand. Protect this dear one from further harm and bring the truth to light. Give them wisdom and the right help at the right time. Guard their heart from bitterness and wrap them in Your calm assurance. We ask all of this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You have done well to put this matter into the hands of the Lord Jesus, for the battle is not yours but God’s. When the ungodly conspire and men repay your plain dealing with sharp malice, remember that He is the God of the valleys as well as the hills; the low places of your humiliation lie open before Him, and the whispered plots of the wicked reach His ear. Be not afraid of their devices, for what time you are afraid, trust in Him. The cure for a trembling heart is faith in the living God who has promised to plead the cause of His people. He will yet bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday. Leave retaliation where it belongs, in the hand of Him who says, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” Do not limit the Holy One by dictating to Him how or when He should move, nor let a murmuring spirit suggest that He has forgotten. He heard your confession of distress, and He will answer. Only rest, and let patience have her perfect work. Your portion is to trust, not to fret; to commit, not to contend. The Lord is your God, say it with holy boldness, and He will make your way plain.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You say you have left this matter in the hands of Jesus. See then that you truly leave it there. For to say it is in His hands while your heart cries out for punishment is not to commit it to Him at all, but to dictate to Him what you think justice must be. Do you not recall the steps He set before us? First, not to begin with injustice; then, if wronged, to be quiet; then to give ourselves up to suffer wrongfully; then to do good to the one who harmed us; and at last to entreat God on his behalf. This is the summit, and the reward is nothing less than to become like our Father in heaven. If you only ask God to deal with them as an avenger, you have climbed not even the first of these steps. You are still returning blow for blow in your soul.

Consider that what you suffer now is permitted by God, and endure it as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. A soldier does not complain of hardship; hardship is the very mark of his calling. To complain when you suffer is not the part of a soldier, but to complain when you do not suffer. Shall the faithlessness of men make the faithfulness of God of no effect? God forbid. He remains true though every man be a liar. If all were unbelieving and unjust toward you, still God is justified in what He permits, and you are called to a higher thing than settling accounts.

I must warn you too, lest under the guise of seeking justice you treasure up wrath for yourself. What profit is it to demand from God the punishment of your enemies, if by that bitter demand you make your own soul an unclean offering before Him? It is better to give nothing of prayer at all than to offer Him a heart burning with retaliation. If He accepted not the lame brutes of old, what favor will you find when you bring Him a petition steeped in unforgiveness? You heap coals on your own head and know it not.

Then let your prayer be instead this: that God would grant them repentance, that He would open their eyes to the wrong they have done, and that He would give you a heart so free from the love of vengeance that you may even do them good. Then shall you see greater things than the mere righting of an appointment time. Then shall the peace of Christ rule in your heart, and the matter will be truly in His hands, because you have placed your own will into those hands as well.

I hear the frustration in your words, and I want you to know you’re not wrong to bring this pain straight to Jesus. When the very system you depend on turns against you after you’ve spoken up, the impulse to say, “You deal with them, this is all in your hands,” isn’t weakness. It’s exactly where the life of trust begins. And that trust is what your Lord is after, not just a quick fix.

The hardest kind of trust doesn’t show up when things make sense. It’s forged when you can’t see the why, when the appointments are shuffled out of reach and the people who should help seem to be retaliating. Scripture shows us David crying out, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in you.” He was cornered by enemies, and his fear was real. But he didn’t pretend it away. He brought his complaint to God, often with messy honesty, and then he deliberately placed his trust in the Lord instead of in his own schemes or the power of men. That’s your path right now. You’ve already done the first part: you’ve poured out the injustice. Now the Spirit calls you to go further, to commit this whole tangled situation into God’s hands and leave it there, even while the retaliation stings.

The temptation will be to rely on your own cleverness, to fight flesh with flesh, to look for an ally in some earthly “Egypt” that promises relief. But God warns us plainly that the arm of flesh will fail. Insurance policies, appeals processes, even complaining channels can become a spider’s web, it might look like something to cling to, but it won’t hold your weight. Better to lean completely on the One who has actually promised to act. He knows your limitations and the precise ways you’ve been wronged. He doesn’t ask you to figure it all out before you trust Him. He just says, “Trust me.” And when He says that, it’s easy to kick against it because our minds want explanations. But genuine trust is what you give when you don’t understand His plan, when the trial hasn’t yet been overcome by the triumph. That kind of trust, offered in the dark, brings Him more glory than all the trust you muster on sunny days.

So right now, with the fear and confusion still raw, keep turning this over to Jesus. The finished work of Christ means you don’t have to engineer your own vindication. He has already secured your standing before the Father, so you can rest in that even while the earthly situation remains tangled. Let that rest act as a shield. When anxiety rises about the next appointment or the next bureaucratic hurdle, repeat what David learned: in God I have put my trust, I will not fear what mere flesh can do to me. Not because retaliation can’t hurt, but because God will hold you steady through it and will bring about what is right in His time.

You might not see any change today. The unfairness may continue. But you can say with all the saints who trusted before you: “Lord, I know you are working, even though I don’t understand what you’re doing. Keep working. I will wait and watch for what only You can bring to pass.” He will assemble a peace in your heart that no insurance adjuster can disrupt, and in His way, He’ll deal with the wrong. Your part is to stay low before Him, refusing to let bitterness take root, and trust that the One who delivered David from the lion and the giant is still the same today.
