Restoring a relationship

Lord please let me hear from ### today lord I really miss me and I pray ### let me come back and stay at her house lord please

We join you together before the Lord in this time of longing and we hear the ache in your heart as you miss this woman and desire to hear from her and to be restored to her presence.

We want to gently point out that while you have cried out to Lord, you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your request and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we come to God together in the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and that through faith in Him we are forgiven and heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for 1 John 1:9 promises if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We also want to lovingly address what you have shared about wanting to come back and stay at her house. We understand the desire for closeness and reconciliation, but Scripture teaches that marriage is to be honored as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and that intimacy and living together as one household is reserved for marriage. Hebrews 13:4 says let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. And 1 Corinthians 6:18 tells us to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. When two people who are not married live together, even with good intentions, it places them in a position of temptation and does not honor God or protect the purity of both persons. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be seen as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not as a partnership of convenience or cohabitation. We also remember 2 Corinthians 6:14 which asks us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, so we encourage you to seek whether this relationship is centered on Christ and moving toward a godly marriage that honors Him.

We do not know all the circumstances that led to separation, but we know God cares about reconciliation where there has been hurt, and He also cares about His will being done above our own immediate wishes. Psalm 37:4 says delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, and Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Sometimes God restores a relationship and sometimes He leads in a different direction for our good and His glory, for Romans 8:28 assures us we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. We also encourage you to wait patiently on the Lord, as Psalm 27:14 says wait for Yahweh, be strong, and let your heart take courage, yes, wait for Yahweh.

So together we pray in Jesus name.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this brother and this woman to You. You know his loneliness and his longing to hear from her today and to be welcomed back. Lord, we ask first that You would comfort his heart and give him peace that surpasses understanding and help him to delight himself in You. Forgive any sin in this relationship, cleanse both hearts, and help them to flee from any fornication or impurity and to pursue holiness. If it is Your will, bring healing and reconciliation in a way that honors You, with clear communication, forgiveness, and godly boundaries. If restoration is to happen, we pray it would be toward a Christ centered courtship that looks to marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, not simply living together outside of Your design. Give them wisdom, give her a willing and guarded heart, and help them to seek counsel from Your Word and from mature believers in the church. Help our brother to trust Your timing, whether he hears from her today or not, and to seek first Your Kingdom. May Your will be done in both of their lives and may You be glorified in whatever outcome You ordain. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer and in the Word, to pursue purity, and to seek godly counsel from a pastor or trusted Christian mentors. If reconciliation is possible, pursue it with honesty, humility, and respect for her and for the Lord, honoring her as a sister in Christ until such time as God might lead you both into holy marriage. Trust that God hears your prayer through Jesus and that He loves you and desires your holiness and your joy in Him.

We are praying with you in this waiting. Missing her the way you do and hoping to hear from her today is a heavy ache to carry, and we don't take that lightly.

Loneliness has a way of making every hour feel longer, and the desire to be close again and to be welcomed back is very human. We have also learned that real restoration, when it is possible, takes more than one person's longing. It takes willingness on both sides and a rebuilding of trust that usually happens slowly, not all at once.

While you wait today, one steady step that can help is to give your hopes a little room to breathe. Take time to pray and get clear on what you most want to say, and if you do reach out, keep it kind and brief and give her space to respond in her own time without pressing for an immediate answer. And don't wait alone. Spend part of today with a trusted pastor or mature friend who knows you, or with your church family, so you have support around you and not just the quiet.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Bring Your comfort into this lonely place, give wisdom for each word and decision, and guide both hearts toward what is good and right in Your will. Help him to sense Your nearness and to rest in Your care today. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your prayer reveals a deep and aching longing, and such longings are known to God who hears the desire of the humble. Yet I would gently turn your longing in the direction to which Scripture points us. The truest longing of the soul is not first for the presence of another person, but to find God Himself. As Job cried, Oh that I knew where I might find Him, so the heart that is most blessed is that which pants not merely for comfort or companionship, but for the Lord and for His commandments.

You ask to hear from one you miss and to return to her house. I cannot ask God to bless living together outside the holy covenant of marriage, for the Lord has ordained that such intimacy and dwelling together belong within the lifelong union of one man and one woman. What God intends to give us He first sets us longing for, and He often awakens a longing that we may seek holiness before happiness. The Psalmist said, I opened my mouth, and panted, for I longed for Your commandments. It is a sad sign when we long only for the privileges of love and not for the precepts of the Lord which make love pure and lasting.

There is a waiting God, and He waits that He may be gracious, and there is also a waiting people who wait upon Him patiently. Waiting upon God is not waiting in despair, but in hope, as a servant waits upon his lord to know his master's will, or as a traveler waits upon his guide for direction. To wait upon the Lord is to renew your strength, for in that waiting the soul grows small and the world grows small, and Christ grows great. Do not let passionate desire so fill your mouth that you have no ear and heart waiting to hear the voice of God.

If there has been sin or separation, remember Peter. His restoration was not brought about by his own pleading alone, but by a look from the Lord which severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance. The same Lord who restored Peter is ready to restore you to Himself, for God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. That is the first and chief reconciliation we need, to be at peace with God through Jesus Christ alone. When that reconciliation is wrought by the power of the Holy Spirit, then all other relationships may be ordered aright under His hand.

So let us pray not simply for what we desire, but for what God desires for us. I will pray that the Lord will draw you near to Himself, that you will find Him and find strength in Him, for He will not plead against you with His great power, but He will put strength in you. I will pray that He will give you a longing after holiness, a desire to keep His commandments, and grace to wait upon Him for direction in this relationship. If it be His will that this relationship should continue, may it be pursued in purity and honor, with counsel and with a view to that holy covenant of marriage if that be right, and if not, may He give you peace to accept His wise and loving providence. May He prepare your heart and cause His ear to hear, and may you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add what is best.

May the Lord grant you times of refreshing from His presence, and teach you to open your mouth wide that He may fill it with better things than even your present longing anticipates.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. I hear how deep your longing is to hear from her today and to be close to her again, and how painful the distance and missing her feels.

In times of longing like this, it helps to remember what God has shown us about reconciliation. The greatest reconciliation we need is with God Himself. We were far from Him, but He in His mercy did not wait for us to come to Him. He came to us in Christ, and through the blood of the cross He made peace and opened the way for us to be forgiven, adopted, and brought near as His children. He is the one who first sought us when we were His enemies, and He has given us the ministry of reconciliation through Jesus.

Because of that, we can bring every ache and desire to Him honestly, and also trust Him to shape our desires according to His good will. God loves you and He loves her, and He wants what is holy and good for you both.

Scripture teaches that God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that living together and sexual intimacy belong within that covenant. For that reason I cannot pray that God would bless a return to living together outside of marriage, but I can and will pray for what is truly best for you both in Christ.

I pray that God will give you peace as you wait, comfort your heart in His presence, and guard you from acting out of loneliness or urgency. I pray He will give you wisdom to respect her home and her boundaries, to communicate with kindness and patience, and to seek His will above your own wishes. If there is a future for your relationship, I pray it would be pursued in a way that honors God, with purity, honesty, and counsel from trusted believers, moving toward the commitment of marriage if that is His direction. If not, I pray He will give you grace to accept His answer, to heal, and to grow in wholeness in Him.

Bring this burden to the Lord each day, stay rooted in His Word and in prayer, and seek the support of a pastor or mature believers who know you and can walk with you personally. God hears you even when you do not hear from her, and He is near to those who call on Him through Jesus. May He draw you closer to Himself first, and from that place give you clarity, strength, and hope for whatever comes next.

Thank you for opening your heart and sharing this burden. The ache of missing someone and longing to hear from them and be close again is real, and God sees that longing.

Above every human relationship, God created you for a close and loving relationship with Himself. Through faith in Jesus Christ, He adopts you as His own child and puts the Spirit of His Son in your heart so you can come to Him as your Father, your Abba, with intimacy and trust. He does not want a distant, legal relationship where you try to earn His favor by doing enough right things. He wants a loving relationship based on what He has already done for you. That new covenant is sure because it rests on His work, not yours, and His work is sure. The basis for that relationship is the blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins. It is His blood that makes atonement and brings you near to God, so you can come to Him on the ground of His love for you, not your own worthiness.

When you learn to come to Him in that way, your life is blessed in a deeper way, because the blessing is not limited to your own efforts. Many people live for years trying to follow rules to get close to God, but He invites you to know how much He loves you and to love Him in return. That love is meant to be personal and real, like the love between a bride and groom. Ask yourself whether you are experiencing that kind of intimate communion with Jesus, being caught up in His beauty and love for you. That thirst in your heart for love and belonging was placed there by God Himself, and only He can fully satisfy it.

Because of this, the best place to bring your longing for this other person is to your Father. Instead of trying to use prayer to move someone else to do what you want, bring your heart honestly to God and ask for His will to be done. He is training you and maturing you as His heir, and there is an appointed time in His wisdom for what is best. While you wait, you can wait with patience and hope, trusting that He is faithful to what He has promised and that He will do what is good and right.

I also want to speak gently and honestly about what you asked regarding going back to stay at her house. Scripture teaches that marriage is the most important human relationship, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, marked by faithfulness, unity of mind, compassion, and courtesy toward one another. Within that covenant alone God has placed living together and sexual intimacy. Outside of that covenant, God calls His people to be separate and different from the patterns of the world, to live for His purposes and to honor Him with purity. For that reason I cannot affirm or ask God to bless living together outside of marriage, even when the desire for closeness feels strong.

What we can pray is that God will work in both of your lives for His glory and your good. If reconciliation is right and honors Him, He can bring it about in a way that is holy and respectful of both of you. That means respecting her freedom and her boundaries, not pressing or manipulating, but showing the kindness and humility that Christ shows us. It means choosing not to practice what God calls sin, because those who are born of God desire to turn from sin by His new life within them. And it means seeking first to be reconciled to God and to walk in the Spirit rather than in the flesh.

So let us pray together in this direction. Father, thank You for Your love shown through Jesus Christ and His blood shed for the remission of sins. Thank You that through Him we can be Your children and call You Father. I lift this dear one to You who is hurting and lonely. Fill his heart with the assurance of Your love and draw him into a deeper, loving fellowship with You. Wash him in the forgiveness that is in Christ and give him strength to walk in purity and obedience. Give him wisdom about this relationship, patience in waiting, and willingness to accept Your will. If it is Your will to restore communication, do it in a way that honors You and respects both people. Teach him to love as You love, to not return evil for evil, and to be courteous and compassionate. Guard his heart from half hearted devotion, and help him hold fast to his faith without wavering, for You are faithful who has promised. Help him to seek You first, trusting that You know what is best and will provide in Your perfect time. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you have not already, bring your life fully to Jesus, trusting Him alone for salvation, and let your relationship with Him become the foundation for every other relationship. As you grow in that love, He will give you wisdom for each step ahead.
