Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and your pain is deeply felt. For almost three years you and your boys have carried a heavy burden, being left, going through divorce, losing so much, struggling to make ends meet and moving from place to place without support. It is right to bring this before the Lord and ask Him for restoration, and we are praying with you.
Scripture shows us God's heart for marriage from the beginning. A man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh, and what God has joined together let no man put asunder. That is God's divine ideal, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. When Jesus was questioned about divorce, He pointed back to that beginning and taught a strict and narrow view. At the same time He acknowledged that provision for divorce was given because of hardness of heart, when people will not come to that ideal. Divorce and remarriage is not presented as an unpardonable sin, but as a failure to rise to what God intended. There is forgiveness and grace in Jesus Christ for every failure when we turn to Him, for salvation is not by our works but is the gift of God through faith in Christ alone.
It is important for you to know that God has not moved away from you. As the Lord said to His people, where is the bill of divorcement, to show that He had not cast them away but they had departed from Him. You may feel abandoned by others, but the Lord does not abandon His own. He is a Father to the fatherless and He sees the needs of a mother caring for her children. He knows your financial distress and your instability, and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him.
Jesus also spoke of those who have had to leave house or family or lands for His sake, and He promised that God sees that loss and will provide, both in this life through His family and care, and with eternal life to come. When earthly family fails, there is a family of God into which He places those who trust Him. You are not forgotten in that family.
We are praying for true restoration for you and your boys. We ask the Lord to restore strength and hope to your hearts, to heal the wounds of these years, to provide stable housing and daily provision, to give you wisdom as you raise your sons, and to surround you with godly help and support. We pray above all that you will know the nearness of Jesus Christ, that you will rest in His forgiveness and love, and that He will establish your steps day by day. May He guard your home, provide for your needs according to His riches, and lead you into the peace that comes from trusting Him fully.
