Restoration

You have been stripped down in ways that cut to the very core of life. The condo you called home for so long, the cars you owned outright, the ability to work and provide for yourself, gone. Now you are in a different country, without money, searching for a fresh start, yet your heart aches to return to the place you lived since 1988. That kind of loss leaves you sitting in the bare essence of existence, much like a man whose story has been given to us for our benefit when everything else was taken away.

When possessions, health, and even the sense of your own worth are peeled back, it is easy to cry out for answers, or even to wish it would all just end. That is not a sign of weak faith; it is the honest cry of a human soul in deep water that it does not understand. You are not being punished because you did something wrong. That misguided idea is what well-meaning people often offer, but it speaks deceitfully for God and adds weight to an already heavy load. God does not need us to defend Him with false comfort. He understands exactly what you are going through.

In the middle of that kind of misery, a desperate question surfaced that had no answer in human wisdom: Is there someone who can stand between me and God, someone who can lay a hand on us both? That cry for a mediator has been answered once for all. God in His mercy built the bridge to us. Jesus Christ is the living witness who vouches for you in heaven, the one who touched both the divine and the dust, and through Him God meets our deepest needs. He is not distant or unmoved by your search for work, shelter, and a way back. He sees.

The story that begins with raw loss does not end there. The final chapter brings restoration, not because the man finally figured it all out, but because God spoke and made things right in His time. That does not guarantee a timeline or a specific outcome this side of eternity, but it does mean you have not been forsaken. Your life matters to a God who gave His Son for you. Hold onto the righteous way, not with clenched fists demanding what you had, but with open hands trusting the One who sees the road ahead. The prayers that rise from a place of emptiness are not ignored, and every basic need you have now is already known by the God who feeds the birds and clothes the fields.

Let your heart find its rest in the fact that you are not just a case of bad fortune. You are someone for whom Christ has already acted, and no loss can undo that. Let that truth steady you while you wait and take the next small step, even when you cannot see the whole path back home.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply challenging season. It has been our heart to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to restore what has been lost and to provide for every need—whether it be a place to live, reliable transportation, steady work, or the comfort of returning to a home filled with so many years of memories.

We continue to pray that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He open doors that no one can shut, provide wisdom for each step forward, and surround you with His favor as you seek His will. If He has already moved in ways you can see, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. If the answers have not yet come, we invite you to share this request again so we may persist in prayer alongside you.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the nearness of the Lord, who promises never to leave nor forsake His children. May His strength sustain you, His hope renew you, and His love remind you that He is working all things together for your good. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
