We hear the deep ache in your heart, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. Your longing for reconciliation and healing is understandable, but we must first acknowledge that true peace and restoration can only come through Christ. It is only in His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only through faith in Him that we find salvation and the strength to endure trials. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your heart fully to Him, for He alone can mend what is broken and bring lasting comfort.
We also want to gently address the nature of your relationship with this man. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31-32). If this relationship is not within the bounds of marriage, we must prayerfully consider whether it aligns with God’s design. If there has been sin, such as fornication, emotional dependency outside of marriage, or any other ungodliness, we must repent and seek the Lord’s cleansing. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Restoration is possible, but it must be rooted in holiness and obedience to God’s Word.
That said, we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to move mightily in this situation. We pray that every misunderstanding, pain, and obstacle between you and this man would be removed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask God to soften his heart, grant him wisdom, and open doors for honest and godly communication. If it is His will, may He bring reconciliation in a way that honors Him. But above all, we pray that you would find your strength and peace in Christ alone. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). We ask that He fill you with His comfort, sustain you in the waiting, and deepen your faith as you trust in His perfect timing.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her longing for restoration. Lord, You see the pain she carries, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would draw near to her, wrap her in Your peace, and remind her of Your unfailing love. If it is Your will, Father, we pray for reconciliation between her and this man, but only in a way that brings glory to Your name and aligns with Your Word. Remove every barrier, heal every wound, and let Your will be done. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to wait on You with hope. May she find her identity and worth in Christ alone, and may Your Spirit guide every step she takes. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
