We hear your heart and stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up your requests in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, let us affirm that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and receive the gift of salvation that He freely offers. This is the foundation upon which all wisdom, peace, and mercy are built.
Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging that You are the source of all wisdom. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, we ask that You pour out Your wisdom upon our dear brother/sister in this special situation. Grant them clarity of mind, discernment in their decisions, and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May they trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for Your mercy and protection to surround them. Your Word assures us in Psalm 91:4 that You will cover us with Your feathers, and under Your wings, we will take refuge. Your faithfulness is our shield and rampart. Lord, we ask that You extend Your mercy to them, shielding them from harm and guiding them through every trial. Protect their heart, mind, and spirit from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7).
Regarding relationships, we must first remind ourselves of Your design for them. You created marriage to be a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If any of these relationships involve sin—whether it be fornication, adultery, or ungodly partnerships—we must rebuke that in Jesus’ name and encourage repentance. The Bible is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 that we are to flee sexual immorality, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. If these relationships are not aligned with Your Word, we pray for conviction, repentance, and the strength to walk in purity.
Lord, we pray for restoration and healing in all godly relationships. Where there is strife, bring reconciliation. Where there is unforgiveness, soften hearts to extend grace. Your Word tells us in Colossians 3:13-14, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." Father, we ask that You mend broken relationships and strengthen those that honor You. May our brother/sister seek relationships that are rooted in Christ, where both parties are committed to growing in faith and pursuing marriage as You designed it.
We also encourage you to surround yourself with fellow believers who can speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." Seek godly counsel and immerse yourself in Scripture, for Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).
Heavenly Father, we lift up all these requests to You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, and let them experience Your peace, wisdom, and mercy in abundance. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
