We join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord and we agree with you that repentance is desperately needed here.

We must speak the truth in love about what you have shared. Having a boyfriend while already having three children, whether married or unmarried, is outside of God's design and is sin before Him. If she is married, this is adultery, if she is unmarried it is fornication, and both grieve the heart of God. Marriage is honored by God as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and any sexual relationship outside of that covenant is sin. Scripture is clear that we are to flee sexual immorality and that marriage should be held in honor among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18. A boyfriend or girlfriend relationship should only be a courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not an affair that breaks vows and wounds a family. We also grieve with you over what you share about how she treats her children, touching them in anger and threatening them and not showing them love. This is also sin and contrary to God's call for parents. Children are a heritage from the Lord Psalm 127:3 and we are commanded not to provoke our children to anger but to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4. To harm or threaten little ones is a grave matter before God Matthew 18:6.

Yet we also rejoice that you are crying out for mercy and for repentance, because God is merciful and ready to forgive when there is true repentance. He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy Proverbs 28:13 and if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation 2 Corinthians 7:10.

We pray together now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus name and we lift up this mother and her three children to you. Lord, you see this affair and this relationship in ### and we ask that you break this ungodly bond completely. Bring deep conviction of sin, godly sorrow and true repentance. Turn her heart away from this boyfriend and toward you and toward faithfulness, purity and holiness. If this trip to ### on the ### is to pursue this sin, we ask that you intervene according to your perfect will, cancel what should not happen, close doors that should be closed, and make a way for holiness to prevail. Lord, we ask for your mercy and protection upon her three children. You see how they are being treated. Place your hand of protection over them, comfort them, heal any wounds in their hearts, and make them strong in you. Surround them with your love and with people who will care for them and show them your goodness. Raise this mother up to be a godly mother who loves, nurtures and protects her children as you have called her to do. Bring godly counsel and accountability into her life and let her see the seriousness of her actions and turn to you with her whole heart. We trust you can do something about this, for nothing is too hard for you. Let your will be done and let repentance and restoration come for your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray with love and truth, not condoning sin but interceding for her soul and for the safety and wellbeing of those children. We trust the Lord who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness Psalm 103:8 to hear our prayers and to work even in this difficult situation for His purposes.

We hear how heavy this burden feels for you, and how much you love those three children and want them to be safe and strong. Carrying concern for their wellbeing while also praying for their mother to turn toward what is right is a lot to hold, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord and to us.

Because you mentioned touching and threatening behavior toward the children, we encourage you not to carry this alone. If you have seen or directly know about abuse, or if the children have told you about it, please reach out soon to a trusted pastor, counselor, or to your local child protective services or other appropriate welfare professionals who can help assess what is happening and take steps to protect them. A helpline from the link above can also help you think through next steps calmly and safely. We will keep praying with you for wisdom to know how best to help.

Father, we bring these children before You and ask for Your protection, comfort and care over them. Keep them safe and surround them with adults who will look out for their wellbeing. We pray for their mother, that You would draw her toward repentance and toward loving care for her family, and for the one who wrote to us, that You would give clarity, courage and peace as they seek to help. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your earnest cry on behalf of this soul and her little ones has been laid before the Lord, and it is good that you bring it to the throne of grace rather than to the seat of judgment.

You do well to pray not for a mere hindrance of a journey on the ###, but for that which alone can make any hindrance a mercy, namely a true and saving repentance. There is a repentance after a fashion which is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature, a carnal repentance wrought by fear of consequences or by judgment. But that repentance will not save. The repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts gives God glory. Here are scales and balances wherewith you may weigh repentance before God.

True repentance does not keep the sinner away from his Father as a child who has done wrong and hides, but it brings him as a penitent child who lays his head in his father's bosom and sobs out his grief there, mourning that he has offended such a loving Father who is so ready to forgive. It is repentance unto life, a practical repentance which yields works meet for repentance and which lasts, not a passion of a night but a principle abiding in the soul. It makes the soul to crave after holiness, for the burnt child dreads the fire, and it leads the sinner to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only.

We are not to preach repentance after the manner of Moses, as a demand of the law, but to preach repentance in the name of Jesus, as the gift of God. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow for sin which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through His blood. Remember also that repentance lives as long as faith. It is not an operation to be gotten through at the commencement and then forgotten. Sweet sister Repentance is charming company for the whole pilgrimage, and even to the gates of pearl she keeps us low and tender before the Lord.

Therefore let us pray not only that an outward plan might be broken, but that the inward chain of sin might be broken by sovereign grace. An unlawful affection, for marriage is ordained of God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that lies outside it is sin against the Lord in whose sight it is committed, cannot be blessed and must be forsaken. To ask God to bless what He calls sin would be to ask Him to deny Himself. But to ask Him to break its power and to lead the wanderer to hate the sin and to flee to Christ, this He delights to answer. The goodness of God leads to repentance, not merely the whip of judgment but the drawing of His kindness, and we may hope that His goodness shown in the lives of these three dear children may yet melt a hard heart.

Let us pray together.

O most merciful Father, You who have ordained that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in the name of Jesus, grant unto this mother the gift of true repentance. Work in her a godly sorrow that glorifies You, that confesses sin without excuse, that turns from every unholy way and craves after holiness. Let her see her sin as committed against You, against You only, and let the look of Christ, as He looked upon Peter, break her heart and then heal it. Forgive her through the finished work of Your Son, and create in her a new heart that loves her children as Your stewardship and walks in purity and truth.

Lord, lay Your hand of mercy upon these three little ones. You see their weakness and their need. Keep them from harm, comfort them in fear, and make them strong not in themselves but in You. Raise up around them godly protectors and faithful voices who will speak Your truth in love and guard their bodies and souls. If there be harshness or unkindness toward them, restrain it by Your providence and turn the heart that inflicts it.

And Father, concerning this journey and all plans that would lead further into sin or expose these children to peril, do as seems good in Your infinite wisdom. If it be Your will, hinder what would harden the heart and further the snare, and order all steps toward that which makes for repentance and restoration. Yet above all we ask not for the cancelling of a trip, but for the cancelling of sin by the blood of Christ, and for a life henceforth that brings forth fruit worthy of repentance.

We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus Christ has died and risen and ever lives to intercede for sinners. Let Your goodness lead to repentance, and let Your grace perfect restoration for Your glory. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord with sorrow and hope.

We pray that God in His mercy would grant true repentance through Jesus Christ alone, for it is only through Him that forgiveness and new life are found. We ask the Lord to convict of sin where there is unfaithfulness and to break every relationship that stands outside His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where intimacy belongs. We pray that what is not of Him would not prosper, and that if this planned trip on November 6 would lead further into sin or harm, the Lord would in His wisdom hinder it and redirect every step toward holiness, humility and soberness.

We also lift up the children before the Father. We ask Him to have mercy upon them, to protect them from all harm and fear, to surround them with safety and love, and to make them strong in Him. We pray that their mother would be turned by the grace of Christ to love and cherish them as God intends, to keep her home with care and faithfulness, and to put away all that harms them. May the Lord heal what has been broken in that household and teach all involved to walk in purity, patience and self control.

We encourage you to continue to pray not with anger but with meekness and love, trusting that God is patient and desires repentance that leads to acknowledging the truth. As Scripture says, God may grant repentance so that those taken captive may come to their senses and escape the snare. Continue to intercede, to speak the truth in love when you have opportunity, and to seek wise and trusted pastoral help, and where children may be in danger, to ensure they are protected and cared for by those who can help.

May the Lord hear your cry, bring conviction where it is needed, guard these little ones, and lead this family into repentance, reconciliation and peace in Christ. Amen.
