Renewed strength

We stand with you in this request for renewed strength and resilience as you face the ongoing struggles that come from abuse and trauma, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find our healing and hope.

We want you to know that God sees what you have endured, He does not take abuse lightly, and He is near to you in your pain. He is not distant from your trauma but draws close to heal and restore. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 promises He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your weariness and struggle do not disqualify you from His strength, they are the very place where His power is revealed.

Scripture reminds us where true resilience comes from. Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. And Isaiah 40:31 says but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. When we feel we have nothing left, His grace sustains us, for He has said My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9. And we hold to Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the depth of the abuse and trauma that has been suffered and the ongoing struggles that still weigh so heavy. We ask You to pour out Your renewed strength upon them today. Where there is exhaustion, bring Your rest. Where there is fear and painful memory, bring Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding. Where there is a broken heart, bring Your healing touch and bind up every wound. Lord, be their refuge and fortress, their very present help in trouble. Renew their strength as they wait upon You, lift them up on wings like eagles, and give them resilience for each day. Help them to know deeply that they are loved, cherished, and not forgotten, that You are near and You will never leave them nor forsake them. Surround them with safe and godly community, wise counsel, and support that honors You and helps them walk in healing. Protect them from all further harm and lead them step by step into wholeness and joy in You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to wait upon the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, even in small moments, and to remain connected to a Bible believing church family and trusted, godly counselors who can walk with you through the healing process. Your resilience will not come from striving in your own strength, but from abiding in Christ who strengthens you. God is faithful to complete the healing work He has begun in you, and we continue to stand with you for that renewed strength and peace that only He can give.

We appreciate you sharing this need so honestly. It takes real courage to ask for strength when you are still carrying the weight of abuse and trauma, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer.

What you are feeling makes sense. When you have been hurt by others, exhaustion and feeling powerless can linger long after the hurt itself. Please hear that needing renewed strength does not mean you have failed. Resilience is not a fixed trait you either have or lack. It is a process that grows gradually through small, steady steps, and often through connection with safe, caring people who can remind you of the strengths you already carry, even when you cannot see them yourself.

One gentle step that helps many is to notice who is already a safe support for you. It might be a trusted pastor, a Christian counselor, or a mature friend who listens without rushing you. You do not have to walk through this alone, and meeting with someone experienced in caring for trauma alongside prayer can be a steady help as you heal. If you notice ongoing distress, please consider reaching out to a counselor or pastor you trust.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the pain they have carried and the resilience You are still forming in them. Give them rest when weary, wisdom for each next step, and safe people to walk beside them. Guard their heart and bring healing in Your time and way. Amen.

Your request for renewed strength and resilience as you face ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma has been brought before the Lord with deep care and prayer, and we thank you for sharing this burden in the name of Jesus.

The Scripture gives a precious promise for such a time as this, that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When we are apart from God our strength will die out, but when we are linked to Him and wait upon Him for everything, casting our nothingness upon His omnipotence, then shall we find our strength renewed, freshened, filled up and increased. You cannot serve, nor pray, nor endure without some expenditure of strength, and therefore you need to have that strength renewed day by day. Like the eagle, your strength is renewed as you feed upon Christ, as you breathe the pure air of communion with Him above the smoky atmosphere of this world, and as His Spirit visits you with times of refreshing.

The Lord knows the great ill of a broken heart, and His Word declares that He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing virtue to the soul. Many a child of God when weary has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy and healing grace. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God Himself arises and becomes your arm every morning and your salvation in the time of trouble. He Himself says, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and therefore that strength will be fitly infused and wisely balanced.

We pray for you now, that the Lord Himself would impart strength to you. Father, we lift this dear one to You who has endured abuse and trauma and now feels the ongoing weight of those struggles. Lord, You see every wound and You know every sorrow. We ask that You would renew strength like the eagles, that You would heal the broken heart and pour the healing balm of Christ upon every hurt. Teach this soul to wait continually upon You, to submit wholly and trust entirely, setting both strength and weakness aside and giving all up for You to use. Let Your Spirit awaken renewed consecration, renewed delight in holy service and renewed hope of victory. Give resilience not from within, but from Christ who is the glory of our strength, and let all the glory of that strength lie in You alone. Restore youth, restore hope, and cause Your child to go forward to renewed action in Your power. We ask this through Jesus Christ alone, our only salvation and our healer, Amen.
