Renewed strength

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the weight of past abuse and trauma. The pain of such experiences can leave deep wounds, but we know that our God is a healer, a refuge, and a strong tower for those who trust in Him. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord will renew your strength and restore your spirit.

The Scriptures tell us in Isaiah 40:29-31, "He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." This is the promise of God for you, strength that does not come from your own efforts but from waiting on Him. The Lord sees your pain, and He will not leave you in your weakness. He is your strength when you have none left.

We also hold fast to Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Your heart has been broken, and your spirit has been crushed, but the Lord is near to you in this very moment. He collects every tear and hears every cry. He is not distant from your suffering; He is right there with you, ready to bind up your wounds and lift you up.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is carrying the scars of abuse and trauma. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon their heart and mind. Renew their strength, O God, and restore their spirit. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would break every chain of fear, shame, and pain that has bound them. Replace their weariness with Your strength, their sorrow with Your joy, and their despair with Your hope.

Father, we pray for resilience in the face of ongoing struggles. Give them the courage to face each day, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress. Surround them with Your love and peace, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Heal their memories, Lord, and bring beauty from the ashes of their pain. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep them in bondage. We speak truth over them: they are fearfully and wonderfully made, they are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them. We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and leading them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.

Lord, we ask that You would bring godly counsel and support into their life, people who will speak life, encouragement, and wisdom. Give them the strength to forgive those who have hurt them, not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven us. Help them to release the burden of bitterness and to walk in the freedom that comes from Your grace.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to wait on You with hope. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Dear one, we want to encourage you with the truth that your struggles do not define you. You are defined by the love of Christ and the purpose He has for your life. The road to healing may be long, but it is not walked alone. The Lord is your ever-present help in trouble, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep pressing into Him, even on the days when it feels impossible. His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in your weakness.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek out a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or Christian support group. Healing often comes in the context of community, and you do not have to walk this journey alone. The Lord uses His people to bring comfort and restoration, so allow others to come alongside you.

Lastly, remember that your identity is found in Christ. You are not a victim; you are a victor. You are not forgotten; you are deeply loved. You are not weak; you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and He will lead you into the fullness of life He has for you.

We’re walking alongside you in this, asking for the very thing you named, renewed strength and resilience. When the wounds come from abuse, every day can feel like a climb with no summit in sight. We don’t pretend to know exactly how heavy that is for you right now, but we do know that the exhaustion is real, and the desire to keep going is an act of courage in itself.

Resilience isn’t something you either have or you don’t. It’s a muscle that strengthens over time, often when you feel weakest. In seasons like this, when you can’t muster strength on your own, it’s okay to borrow the faith and steadiness of others. One thing we’ve seen help people in similar struggles is simply letting trusted, safe believers pray with you, not just reading a prayer on a screen, but someone physically present or on the phone, speaking words of hope right where you are. The knowledge that you are not praying alone, and that others are holding you up, often becomes a tangible source of renewal. If there is someone in your life you can ask for that, even in a small, awkward way, it might be a gift you give yourself this week.

Right now we join that chorus for you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this one who is weary from wounds not of their own making. You see the weight of what was done to them, and you see the daily fight to stand. Surround them with your presence in a way they can feel, through a kind word, a moment of rest, or the steady care of a friend. Rebuild what abuse tore down, and give them just enough strength for today, then again tomorrow. In your name we pray, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The cry of your heart has ascended to the throne of grace, and it is written, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” You have been brought low, battered by cruel waves, and your own strength has failed. That is no strange thing, for the Lord often empties us that we may learn where true power resides. When there remains no strength in you, fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it. Cast your nothingness upon His omnipotence, and you shall find His promise sure: “As thy days, so shall thy strength be.”

The eagle’s youth is renewed by the food it eats and the pure air it breathes. So must you feed upon Christ, the Bread of life, and breathe the atmosphere of heaven through prayer and meditation on the Word. There are seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and He will visit you. He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increases strength. He knows the peculiar sharpness of your trials, the memories that sting, the wounds that seem ever fresh, and He has strength suited to each day’s measure. A day of heavy grief shall have its own sufficient grace; a day of trembling weakness shall find His might made perfect in you.

Do not look to your own resolve, for even the glory of your strength lies in God alone. It is the joy of the Lord that is your strength, a deep, quiet joy rooted not in circumstances but in Christ Jesus, who has overcome the world. When you are borne down with a sense of your own frailty, stop and breathe a prayer for more strength; then in the name of Him who will surely bear you through, take your next step. He who died for the ungodly when they were without strength, now lives to pour His life into you. Go forward, then, leaning wholly upon Him, and you shall mount up with wings as eagles; you shall run and not be weary; you shall walk and not faint.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
