We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the weight of past abuse and trauma. The pain of such experiences can leave deep wounds, and we know that only the healing touch of our Savior can bring true restoration. We declare that Jesus is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your struggle is seen by the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4), and He is mighty to save.
Father God, we ask You to pour out Your strength upon this precious one. When they are weak, remind them that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Renew their spirit day by day, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep them bound in fear, shame, or despair. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your truth rise up in their heart and cast out every shadow of doubt or hopelessness.
We pray for resilience, Lord, that they may stand firm in Your grace. Help them to press on, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your love and the support of godly community. May they find comfort in Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Teach them to wait on You, for those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, Jesus, for You alone can heal the deepest wounds. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and in You, there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). We ask that You would restore what has been broken, replace ashes with beauty, and turn mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3). May they experience Your love in a fresh and powerful way, knowing that nothing can separate them from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).
We stand in agreement with this dear one, believing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen them, Lord, and let Your light shine brightly in their life. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
