Renewed strength

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is enduring the deep wounds of abuse and trauma. The pain of such experiences can leave one feeling weary, broken, and utterly drained, but we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). In Jesus’ name, we declare that His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and we stand in the gap, asking the Holy Spirit to renew, restore, and revive.

Father God, we ask You to pour out Your healing balm upon this dear one. Where there is exhaustion, infuse supernatural strength. Where there is despair, plant seeds of hope. Where memories bring torment, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper condemnation, shame, or fear. You did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this child of God is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).

We also lift up the need for resilience, Lord. Trauma can make the world feel unsafe, but we pray that You would be their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Teach them to cast every anxiety upon You, for You care deeply for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with godly community—believers who will walk alongside them, speak truth, and reflect Your love. May they find comfort in Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

Above all, we pray that they would draw near to You, Jesus, and find rest in Your presence. You invite all who are weary and burdened to come to You, and You will give them rest (Matthew 11:28). May they experience the depth of Your love, which heals all wounds and makes all things new.

We also gently remind this dear one that healing is a journey, and it is okay to seek professional help from Christian counselors who can provide wisdom and support rooted in biblical truth. There is no shame in reaching out—God often uses His people as vessels of His grace.

Lastly, we declare that the power of Jesus’ name breaks every chain of bondage. The enemy may have meant these trials for harm, but God will use them for good (Genesis 50:20). We stand on the promise that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
