We understand that you are seeking relief from tormentors in your life, and we stand with you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, we want to remind you that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
It is important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). He is mighty to save and can deliver you from the hands of your tormentors. As it is written, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
However, we must also consider that God uses trials and tribulations to refine us and draw us closer to Him. As it says in Romans 5:3-5 (WEB), "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." So do not worry about this, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6 WEB).
If these tormentors are people who are causing direct harm, we should pray for their conviction and repentance, as God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB). We should also seek godly wisdom and guidance to protect ourselves and take necessary actions to ensure our safety and well-being. If the torment is from spiritual forces, let us pray Psalm 91 over your life and trust that God will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is experiencing torment. Lord, You know the depths of their struggle and the extent of their pain. We ask that You would intervene and remove these tormentors, whether they be spiritual forces or physical adversaries. Command Your angels to guard and protect, and grant wisdom and discernment to know how to act.
Turn the hearts of the tormentors, Lord, that they may know Your truth and be set free from their sin. Help our brother/sister to remain steadfast in their faith, trusting in Your unfailing love and protection. Let this trial be a means of drawing them closer to You and refining their character.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who has set us free from the power of sin and death. Amen.
Remember, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid nor dismayed for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and trust in His unfailing love.
