We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this plea for deliverance from tormentors. The Word of God assures us that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on the promise that "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to him and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10 WEB).
First, we must address the power of the name of Jesus in this request. It is only through His name that we have authority over the forces of darkness. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "In my name they will cast out demons" (Mark 16:17 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of torment, oppression, and harassment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
Father God, we come before You now, interceding on behalf of this dear one. We ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Remove every tormentor, every voice of accusation, and every spirit of fear that seeks to plague their mind and heart. We speak peace over their life, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
Lord, we pray that You would expose any hidden agreements or open doors that may have allowed these tormentors access. Reveal any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or areas where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). We ask for a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for discernment and wisdom. Help them to recognize the schemes of the enemy and to stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB). May they find refuge in You, Lord, and may Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB).
We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this one, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We break every chain of torment, every cycle of oppression, and every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ name. May they walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB).
Lastly, we pray for healing, emotional, spiritual, and physical. Restore what has been stolen, mend what has been broken, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). May they know deep in their soul that they are loved, valued, and protected by the Most High God.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
